This is the best Clinique product I have ever used. I use it as a foundation with a little concealer under eyes and on nose when my roscea flairs up. I am 48, and it is the perfect glow/coverage. I just discovered this product in early 2026, and as others noted, it is often out of stock. I tried the tinted UV solutions, but it is too heavy and caused my skin to break out. I will buy in bulk once back in stock!

I started using this after my daughter was born in 2018, shortly after learning I had pre-cancerous growth on my face. It works wonderfully - I put it on every day of the year no matter where I am (home or traveling) and never get a sunburn. When I was postpartum, it made my tired, under-rested skin look good. I'm 43 now and people still compliment my complexion or assume I am much younger than I am. I use it in lieu of a foundation or BB cream, even in the evening, as someone who likes a very light and natural makeup look. It's tinted and very sheer but just enough tint to even me out. I've subscribed to it via Ulta for years and always had it in stock in my bathroom. When my most recent subscription didn't arrive, I logged on to buy more only to find it's not available anywhere?! I have used this every single day for almost 8 years now and am scrambling to find a comparable replacement. I have tried every other facial sunblock by Clinique and none of them hold a candle to the original Pep-Start for the reasons I got so accustomed to using it. PLEASE bring it back? I want this product back but am now in the throes of changing brand loyalty to find an equal product from another company.

I'm 40. I love this product! At my age the make up I wore during my 20s and 30s just doesn't look good on my mature skin anymore. This is the only product (I've tried SO MANY!!) that makes me look dewy without feeling sticky or greasy, and without trapping product in my pores, no break outs, no magnifying my pores or wrinkles. It actually wears well on my beige/tan skin tone, and masks my redness. I can't believe Clinique is discontinuing such a great product! I've tried Clinique's new tinted make up options and they're just like the other ones I hate that emphasize my pores and settle into my wrinkles. Please keep this formula and product!

I switched from chemical to mineral sunscreens because they are better for the skin and gentler on my eczema-prone skin. When it comes to mineral sunscreens, I look for two things: 1) SPF 50+, and 2) a combined total of at least 10% zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for effective protection. The different oxides are necessary to provide different types of sun protection, and this one fits the bill. What I like particularly about this sunscreen: it doesn't irritate or dry out my skin; it is easy to spread and feels so weightless that I don't notice I'm wearing sunscreen. Its light tint is perfect for neutralizing the white cast from the mineral ingredients and gives a natural look without the need for makeup. This is now my go-to sunscreen. Suggestion: Although 30 ml is the perfect size for my purse, I hope Clinique will offer a value size to save on packaging materials.

Has this Clinique PEP START spf 50 mineral sunscreen 1 oz been discontinued or not???? Two years ago one answer mentioned it was replaced with mineral spf 50 FLUID for the FACE. Well that sounds like this exact product. Please CLARIFY. Is this product PEP START still available as of October 2023? Also how are we to read the Lot or Code # regarding manufactured date? SPF looses effectiveness overtime, correct? So why no expiration dates?
