OLAPLEX No.9 Bond Protector Heat Protection & Frizz Reduction Nourishing Hair Serum

This is the only post-shower hair product I use. Im on my third bottle and starting to run low. I have thick hair thats prone to getting frizzy, this controls that very well. Great heat protection imo. Im acne prone and a lot of leave in hair products can end up causing acne, but this doesnt cause acne for me at all! It doesnt really have a smell, maybe faintly scented in a fresh scent? It doesnt make your hair heavy or greasy at all. Even if you dont blow dry your hair, it seems to look better after air drying if I use this vs if I dont. Its a really nice product that I will happily continue to purchase. I do feel like the packaging could be improved upon as ive noticed this leaks a lot if I try to travel with it and its not sitting upright on a vanity counter at all times, so I end up putting it in a disposabke plastic zip bag when I travel with it.

This is a great protective for your hair if you use a curling brush and blow dryer every day. My hair gets so damaged and this product helps Keep it from being further damaged.

I'm writing this as a general review of Olaplex products, including No. 9. I've used most of their standard products (#No. 0, 3–9), and overall, I was very disappointed. For reference, I have thick, color-treated (bleached) hair that air-dries mostly straight with loose waves in the back and tends to feel dry and frizzy without styling products. I'm someone who reads multiple reviews before purchasing hair, makeup, or skin-care products—especially at a higher price point—so after seeing so much praise for Olaplex, I was genuinely excited to try the line. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any improvement in softness, moisture, or overall hair feel. If anything, my hair felt drier rather than healthier. To be fair, I didn't use the products long enough to determine whether extended use would have changed the results, but based on my experience, they simply didn't work for my hair.

I have thin, bleached highlights. This serum makes my hair shine a LOT! Hair becomes smooth and keeps curls after blow-drying. Love it!!!!!!

I use this hair serum when I'm curling my hair and I want it to stay all day. I have fine long hair and it drops a curl almost as I'm doing it. When I use this product it keeps the curl without crunchy hairspray or other products that weigh down the hair. I've used it in dry and humid climates. The humid climate was a little bit of a struggle but it still maintained better than anything else I've tried. I actually convinced my sister to try it but straighten her hair. She's polar opposite of me lol She has insanely thick, curly hair. We straighten her hair one day using the serum. Her hair was actually smooth (not frizzy) and stayed straight for over 3 days (no hair washes). She was so impressed with it she was telling her friends.
