Is this a light weight travel curling iron? Does it come with a heat resistant cover?

Not good
I tried to really give this a chance - reviews are true - its not good. The clamp is too tight and leaves a crease on your hair. It easily burns your hair and burns m fingers If you're not careful- it's hard to use. I've just been using my hair straightener to curl my hair and doesn't burn my hair. I was hopeful for this and now I can't return it.
Love this iron
I'm a hairdresser and it's my favorite curling iron for long hair especially for my hair extension clients. It does get really hot though especially the handle and I wish it had an automatic shut off. Love the color of it too but does scratch easily
Disappointed
Ive seen so many videos online of girls using this and raving about it. I think mine might just be bad, but the clamp is so tight that hair does not move smoothly through at all. I feel like im tugging and ripping my hair like the barrel is sticky or somtbing. Im past the point of retun (my fault) but i wouldnt reccomend it. Ive been pretty happy with my $40 hair tool that had no need to replace

The clamp is so stiff! Even if I hold it slightly open it still leaves creases in my hair with no or very little curl that doesn't stay long. I have very long hair so I thought the extra long barrel would help, but it just makes it awkward to use in certain areas. I wish I still had the box so I could return it. My dollar store connair works better than this one. Shame because I love my babyliss straightener so I had so much hope for this.
Great purchase
I was struggling to get my hair to hold curls. Recently purchased two other stylers and some hot rollers and this finally did the job. I have super long hair and in the last year my curls have not held. The long barrel and the 1 inch was the perfect combo.
