Is this a light weight travel curling iron? Does it come with a heat resistant cover?

Great purchase
I was struggling to get my hair to hold curls. Recently purchased two other stylers and some hot rollers and this finally did the job. I have super long hair and in the last year my curls have not held. The long barrel and the 1 inch was the perfect combo.
Just ok.
This curling iron is just OK, it curls my shoulder length coarse hair just fine. My curls don't stay in any longer than a day, so this was nothing new. But the reason why I'm not giving it any more stars is because it does not have an automatic shut off. My Conair curling iron from the year 2000 had an automatic shut off! With so many other hair tools having this option I am very bad about remembering to turn my curling irons off or unplugging them. I do like the longer barrel.
Love it! Better than L'ange
Yes, I'd buy this again. I have long hair all the way down my back. I bought the 1.25 barrel from L'ange first and the curl fell out quick. Curl holds with this one.
Saddened
I was so eccited to get this iron as I have been wanting one for so long! I love the long barrel, however my hair is straight within 10-15 minutes…. Even witn using texture spray, tried smaller sections of hair, different curling techniques. Just overall sad because it didnt live up to the hype I thought it had :/
I absolutely love these curling irons
I figured out how to loosen the clamp so now i never get clamp demarcations like it did before i loosed the clamp because it does come very stiff. I'm definitely buying more sizes !
