Good for my very sensitive skin

My 56 year old skin is sensitive; no retinoids, retinols, or high percentage vitamin c. They all make me itch, peel and sometimes swell. The lactic acid in this product I can tolerate, and the glycerin is quite nice. It feels a bit tacky until it dries, but I wake up in the morning with smoother, softer skin. I have to take a break every 4th night, and use moisturizer only. It is not fading my dark spots much, but it has helped with smoothing the texture of my skin. Also, as serums go, it is not tremendously overpriced, and I appreciate that. I will repurchase.

I got this bottle not via promotion like so many seem to have who have written reviews, I am an actual customer who paid for it. First off I really do enjoy the overall look of the product however looks only mean so much, quality of the product is what matters. I found the serum was very milky and smooth and it did make my skin look more hydrated. I did get a few deep pimples on my chin the first week of use , not sure if it was from this serum or not. The serum layered nicely with other products and sun screen. There was no pilling which is huge for me because I hate pilling. I had that issue with Clinique's super charged hydrating serum so was relieved this serum didn't have that problem. All in all a decent serum if you are looking for something that hydrates nicely and plays well with other products. My issue though and why I only give three stars is Clinique's complete lack of transparency when it comes to vitamin C. For vitamin C to be effective you want at least 10 percent. Also 15 -20 percent can be hard for people with sensitive skin to handle. They claim their secretiveness as far as percentage is due to "proprietary reasons". I don't get that because there are plenty of serums on the market that reveal their vitamin C percentage. Just seems deceitful to me, as if there isn't really all that much in the serum. Due to that I feel like I cant really discontinue the Vitamin C serum I am using as I know that has sufficient amount for effectiveness.For that reason I am on the fence of reordering this.
This is a repeat purchase. Love it!
I have used Clinique products with Hyaluronic Acid for at least 45 years. I love the Moisture Surge line, and this serum works wonderfully.

I was very excited to try the Moisture Surge Active Glow Serum since I found other Moisture Surge products to be effective. Given the product name, I expected it to give the same plump but with an added "glow". It had absolutely NO impact on my skin. None. Totally INEFFECTIVE. I would not recommend to purchase.
