Most Helpful Positive Review Use accordingly...
Initially I read it to be a veil so I never would use this powder to 'Set' anything! I only use it after everything is done and then I lightly dip my big powder brush one time, and swirl and bounce it softly in the cap. I swish it across my tzone and oily areas. It softens my look or harsh lines and ties everything together for a matte finish. Work, sweating, walking na k and forth all day. I stay looking as if I just applied everything....i wiuld use as a setting powder unless emergency moments
Most Helpful Critical Review COLOR CHANGE
I have used Orginal Mineral Veil for 15 years now, the last time I went to purchase, the color changed. It was a pale translucent powder, which worked for me no matter how pale or tan I was. It is now a peach orange color, which DOES NOT blend with fair skin. My daughter is a pale redhead and this made her skin look orange, looked like she had on cheap makeup! Very disappointed in the changing of this formula! There already are tinted variations, for darker skin. What about those with very pale skin, Bare Minerals???

Simply beautiful coverage.
my favorite setting powder
Lizzy B from Texas
I got this as a sample and was super skeptical at first because I've been looking for a good talc-free setting powder forever. I'm so happy that I tried this and I'm thinking about getting the SPF one so that I can put it on top of my sunscreen because it makes me so shiny. I love that BM is committed to using safe ingredients < 3
you'd be better off setting with aquarium gravel
zoe from texas
it's so painfully dusty and rough.. Makes me dry and dusty to the touch no matter how little i use. very confused by the reviews. If you think this behaves like a normal setting powder i'd highly recommend trying other brands, especially if you're willing to spend almost $30 on this monstrosity
Nisha from Jacksonville
Good powder but turns me red looking I always thought it was my foundation that was red undertones then realized I looked fine until this
Better than powder foundation
Lama from mo
Wears beautifully over tinted BB cream! The foundation powders have started looking too heavy on my maturing skin (41 years) this veil is perfect
honestly the best

I have really oily skin and so far no powder has kept me from getting oily throughout the day. This powder though, let me tell you, has kept me matte throughout the entire day. I noticed that my skin wasn't oily and felt really soft.
Used for years. Absutely the best coverage and look. So natu

Ulta & BareMinerals Falsifying Wt on Ad
Cate from Napa CA
The Hydrating Mineral Veil on Ulta's product page states 0.3 oz. Which is 8.grams.
I purchased the product online October 29, 2021. I picked it up at Napa, California on October 30.
The Hydraing Mineral Veil container clearly states 6 g/ 0.21 oz. That's a full 2 g less than indicated on the Ulta product page.
Good for tan-colored skin
Makeupnovice from Houston TX
I was skeptical about using since it's kind of a "one size fits all" type. I'm very glad this one is tinted. It works well for me. I've been doing a lot of outside activity and while using my same bare minerals foundation powder I can still wear it without the color looking off. I add Warmth as a bronzer around my face and finish with tinted mineral veil. Works for me without over drying and looking unnatural.
I tried well rested and it was very chalky on me.
I will continue to use and purchase again.
Holy dark orange
mmiissyy from Phoenix, AZ
I must have gotten a bad batch or something, but I am way too scared to even try again. This was SO dark, I could have sworn it was bronzer. I guess you could use a tiny tiny bit, but then what's the point?
Bria from Kuna Idaho
This powder GLOWS. It's not shimmery or sparkly, it's sheer and gives you a radiant, natural finish. And it will keep your makeup in place for the entire day, and even the entire night! I'm obsessed. I prefer the loose powder mineral veil over the pressed powder version. The loose powder gives you a sheer finish. The pressed powder, for some reason, seems to give off a more "matte" vibe. I'm obsessed.
Unhappy with container design
Mona from Boulder, Colorado
I love this finishing powder, but hate the container. Not all of the powder can be accessed with the sifter attachment - it should be designed to come off to be able to use every bit of product. Static electricity makes remaining product stick to the dispenser.
yoolax from Marlboro, NJ
this is the BEST powder i have ever used. i dont buy higher end products but this is the only exception. i use a damp beauty blender to apply this under my eyes and it gives the most AMAZING FINISH lasts for hours too. definitely get this powder
My number one
Cinder543 from Texas
I used as a setter on my foundation, also when not wearing makeup as it controls shine, I'm 58 yrs young and have been through many veils, transparent, and I've been using it for years. I also use it to mix with some of my darker blushes to lighten as well, it's truly not just a translucent powder, be creative with it. I love bare minerals, it's a safer product than most as well for sure!
Amy Lynn from Milton, PA
It definitely is illuminating. But in a glittery way. This is very glittery, so if you dont like glittery setting powder dont purchase. I however, love anything glowy. It looked beautiful. Doesnt make my skin look dry.
Amy Lynn from Milton, Pa
This feels cooling on the skin. Gave my skin an airbrushed look and didn't make my skin look dry and cakey. I however, for the price wish that you get a bigger jar. I was shocked at how small the jar actually is. Also, I received this with no box. I was confused to why it didn't come in a box. Turns out none come in a box. I expected a little more for the price and brand
the most perfect powder i have ever used!
moolax from NJ
I usually stick to drugstore brands, but this is one of the few higher end products that I swear by. I have combination skin and quite a bit of texture, this powder gives the most AMAZING finish to my skin. I use a damp beauty blender and press the powder onto oily areas. The results look skin-like and NOT CAKEY -- also, no flashback. Will be repurchasing!
great sustainable powder!!

i've been using this vegan mineral based powder for a few years now and it's the best one! it definitely blends well over my concealer!
A must have
LauraQ from Wisconsin
I have used this brand pretty exclusively as my finishing powder. I used the regular Mineral Veil for many years and switched to the hydrating as I got older. It is a staple for me.
My holy grail face powder!
Quorra from Arizona
I've been using the Illuminated Mineral Veil for probably 15 years. It's such a beautiful face powder. I have oily skin and this makes the skin look flawless and lovely. It's not glittery or super shimmery, it's just a light illuminating effect. Color also hasn't changed, I'm not sure why other reviews are saying as such. Maybe just for the Original. This one is the same as always. Please never discontinue this product Bare Minerals!!
Staple product in my lineup.
541KAS from Logan, OH
Use daily over a primer and/or foundation. Minimizes pores, blurs and never feels cakey or heavy.
Best formula sad shade range
Sarah M from Detroit
This powder is a game changer with formula. It's a perfect finish without making u look Cakey and adds a beautiful glow! However I have a tan skin tone and It's WAY too light. It makes me look like a ghost. the tinted mineral veil is also too red and deep for me! I have mixed the two together to get my perfect holy grail product but it's sad someone should have to do that. I've also seen Black girls say that even the tinted one is far too light for them! Bare minerals please step up your shade range! I can never recommend these products to my other friends without telling them how I've become a chemist and my Black friends DONT even have the option to mix two expensive products together to get their shade. All skin tones deserve to feel beautiful and if you as a brand stepped up your inclusion I could see a lot of consumers trying and loving your products.
Love it and recommend it!

Beautiful over creme foundation
Pixiesoldier from Davenport Florida
I apply after creme foundation on all areas except under eye and spritz with setting spray on top. Helps keep makeup from sliding in humid weather. Also works well on eyelid with primer or concealer for shadow base.
