Apply generously and evenly to face and/or body 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours or after 40 minutes of swimming or perspiring and immediately after towel drying.

I would buy this product again
I have oily skin, the product spread easily with the sponge provided but it left me with a dewy finish so i had to put a matte setting powder so i wouldn't have a super shiny face. The result was fantastic. My skin tone is light/medium so the Sable- Beige was a good match. The color looks darker in the compact but goes on lighter once on the skin.
Surprised!
Was pleasantly surprised that this product was not too dark or "orangy" on my fair skin that does not tan. Its great for sun protection when I'm just running errands or out walking the dog and I don't want to take the time for full make up. It is thick and takes awhile to blend , hence 4 stars instead of 5. But I think will improve when I purchase a new brush for application. If you're on the fence definitely give this a try. Also, its so compact, great for travel ! For reference I use the Sable-beige .
No mess, no fuss
So glad I picked this up at NOLA Ulta. I neglected to pack any makeup for my weekend trip, so I went in to Ulta hoping for a powder, but stopped in my tracks when I saw this Avène compact. The foundation requires a little blending, but the compact comes with the perfect applicator. I've been using nearly every day, bypassing my liquid foundation because it's so quick and easy to use. Got it in beige, because that was what was available, but the color blends perfectly with my Medium skin.
Impressive finish and coverage.
I am light to medium skin tone and bought the "beige". This lighter tone option, looks dark in the compact, but lightens with coverage. I wear tinted sunscreen 365 and have tried everything. This stands out as one of the best tinted sunscreens that can double as light to medium coverage skin tint or foundation. It is creamy when you apply with the sponge, but dries down nicely to a natural finish, and you don't even need to set with powder. It evens and smooths your skin and doesn't settle into fine lines. I would have given 5 stars, but it is very little product for the price.

I have combination. Skin and lately I been struggling with breakups this thing does not dry on my skin.
