I'm thrilled to have received this product to try. If I hadn't, I might have never discovered how much I needed it in my routine. I'll definitely be purchasing this again and again. Hero Cosmetics Mighty Shield is a game-changer for acne and blemish sufferers who wear makeup and/or sunscreen. Applying makeup and sunscreen over breakouts is a sure way to worsen them. I applied this liquid to the blemish, it dried fairly quickly, and was super easy to put my other products over without being able to see it at all!! Not only did my acne get concealed but it was treated as if I were wearing an actual pimple patch. I highly recommend this product! I used Mighty Shield on a day when I had an active pimple, and it made things so much easier. Once it dried, it smoothed the area just enough that my makeup could go on without catching on the texture. Normally, applying makeup over a breakout is frustrating and never looks quite right, but this gave me a flatter surface to work with and the end result looked noticeably better. It dries down clear, feels lightweight, and stays out of the way. For me, it worked exactly as a shield — nothing dramatic, just a simple layer that kept the spot protected and made my makeup routine less stressful. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. So I have only used it twice so far but this blemish protectant is great. It doesn't replace pimple patches entirely, but I have been using it on my inflamed and popped acne for work. My coworker swears she can't even tell I'm wearing it. It's stopped me from touching my face 100% and stops anything from like bleeding or oozing. It says you can wear it under makeup and skincare but I have to be extra gentle when applying moisturizer or it'll start to peel up the edges. I tried under some super light color corrector today and it was a bit too dry but I'm sure if I wanted to do full makeup application I could make it work. I really like the idea of wearing it as a base so my skin doesn't react to the makeup! Usually my acne will flair up if I wear too much makeup so it seems like a really good solution. I have had 0 negative reactions to it which is usually my concern with new products. I think it's perfect for me to skip pimple patches during the day at least! I have full intentions of making this a daily use product for me.

For the Mighty Shield Invisible Blemish Protectant, the ingredients include polyurethane and ethyl alcohol. The clear formula goes from a liquid to a patch form within a minute or so, and acts similar to a liquid bandage. I like the angled applicator because it's soft against my skin. However, after gently squeezing the tube, I ended up with a larger than necessary blob on the tip. I used the protectant on a stubborn spot on my shoulder, as well as on the top of my hand, between my knuckles. The alcohol smell isn't great, but dissipates after drying. Since it's hard to get the right amount out of the tube and to make a thin layer on your skin, the protectant can peel up faster than it should. I didn't love this product, but it's an option to use when you can't get normal patches to stay in place.
