A little bit good, a little bit bad
As much as I love this eyeliner - I have worn it for years - I absolutely hate that the product dries up halfway before you've used it all. I always end up throwing away half the pot to replace it with new eyeliner that won't flake and will spread nicer, given me even coverage. Once I get my new pot...

I've loved Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for many years, and of course I have my favorites. One of them is the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. It is absolutely amazing! I've always worn the Chocolate Shimmer Ink, but recently I decided to try something new and I started wearing the Denim Shimmer Ink. WOW! I am so glad I took a step out of my comfort zone, because it is gorgeous! I've always hesitated to wear blue eyeliner because of the stigma that goes with it, but this is just entirely different. It is a true navy with the slightest shimmer. It completely opens up my eyes. I'm in my 50s, and personally I don't wear liner on my bottom lashes, because I want my eyes to appear as opened as possible. I tightline my upper lashes with the Denim Shimmer Ink using the Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush, and it looks so pretty. Sometimes I add a tiny wing. The eyeliner goes on super smoothly. It is a gel liner, and it's so easy to work with! It's super precise, and I'm able to get the look I'm wanting without any difficulty. It wears all day, which I love. It doesn't fade or wear off. It is waterproof, and it doesn't smudge, so the line that I apply is the line that I still have on later in the day. It just looks so pretty. Denim shimmer ink lovely color

I love the color denim shimmer ink which is a nice navy blue color. I had issues applying it because I'm used to pen eyeliners and am not good with the brushes. It applies nice and smooth but I had a problem with it smudging. I also am using it as a beautiful blue eyeshadow because the color is perfect. I usually use eyeliner pens so applying with a brush required a bit of a learning curve. This formula is creamy and spreads easily and does not feel heavy. I forget I have it on. The blue flatters my brown eyes and I love how I can see how much product I have left. Might switch over to brush gel application.

I enjoyed testing out this Bobbi brown long wear gel eyeliner. I wanted to try something different and use blue liner instead of traditional black and it really made my green eyes pop. The formula was very creamy and lasted over 10 hours no creasing. A little goes a long way. Formula applies very smoothly no clumping or patchy scotches. I love this eyeliner, it's so pigmented and a little goes a long way and I also use it more than just an eyeliner! I use it for when I want an off blue blsck smoky eye when I want to add colors that brings my eye color more vibrant. It's easy to apply and take off, it just glides on love it! I love this eyeliner but my last purchase dried up quickly and i made sure the cap was on tight. Any advice? I don't wa t to waste my money again

We’re so glad you love the Long-Wear Smudge-Proof Gel Eyeliner but totally understand how frustrating it is when it dries out so quickly, especially when you made sure the cap was on tight. A couple of things that can help - try to close it right away after each use and avoid leaving it open while you’re doing the rest of your makeup, since even a little air exposure can start to dry the formula. Some customers also find that storing the jar upside down helps keep the product fresh, and gently swirling your brush in the pot can warm it up if it feels a bit dry on the surface. If it seemed to dry out unusually fast, we’d definitely recommend reaching out to Ulta customer service as well. We hope this helps for next time.Was this answer helpful to you

Is the finish matte, shimmery or gloss?

- Official Answer By Bobbi Brown USWe’re happy to confirm that the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Smudge-Proof Gel Eyeliner shades feature a beautiful matte finish—with the exception of Chocolate Shimmer Ink, a dark red-brown with a gorgeous golden shimmer. To apply: Dip the tip of the Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush (sold separately) into the gel liner, coating both sides of the brush. Wipe off any excess on a tissue.
