Love this straightener
I have long coarse, wavy/curly hair, and am very thorough with heat protectant so it takes me another 15 min to fully dry my hair after airdrying for hours at a time. The fact that i can now save those extra min with the dry style fuction is revolutionary for me ANNNDD my hair is so shiny afterwards.
Back in love with Chi
Honestly, I use to live Chi and then something happens it just didnt style my hair as well. I feel they lost their way. this styler has really revived my faith in them. I thought I was going to be disappointed but I got everything I wanted. No burnt hair or burnt smelling hair. Its pretty light weight so my arm didnt get tired and it quickly styled my 3c/4a hair with even smoothness. Glossy, frizz free, and dare I say straight but yet still bouncy?! This gave me a salon silk press at home and I am beyond elated. Oh yes, this one is a winner 🏆!
I DO love it!
I thought I would give this a try when I saw it highlighted on special with no expectations, but I am so glad I was able to get it and try it out. I really like it. I usually flat iron my hair after drying. This saves so much time. I do let my hair airdry for about an hour first, but I did that before this product anyway. It adds body to the straightening process. It gets to the root. It did take a minute to figure out the settings and controls but I think I have it down now. I'm still not too sure how to add the cold shot without changing modes and going back and forth, which is a pain , but maybe I don't have that figured out yet. I do recommend though. It is a great product. And to go on vacation with one tool (because blow dryer is built in) is really a great plus as well. Also, I have wavy mid length frizzy color treated hair that puffs in high humidity. This works great with my hair.
Great for my thick, fine hair
I bought this during the sale. I saw there weren't many reviews from people who didn't get it for free so I wanted to be sure I took the time to review it. I also have the Dyson Airstraight. I have long, thick, fine hair. It has only recently became wavy. I like the Chi better for my hair as when I'm done I don't need to get my Chi straightener and go over it like I do with the Dyson. When I use this I make sure to section my hair into thin rows and only do a small piece at a time. If you haven't used the Airstraight that part will be an adjustment. It will pull your hair a little bit if you try to do too much at one time. The Dyson won't. To me the Chi makes my hair look like it's been flat ironed after I'm done, with the Dyson my hair is dry and straight, but not sleek like it is after I use my straightener. I'm going to keep both products, but for someone with very coarse hair I think the Dyson would be better.
