Q
Is this Sulfate free?
Asked by LauraM
Official Answer By Joico - Brand Engage
Hi Laura! Great question, the Joico K-PAK Reconstructing Shampoo is not sulfate free. To clarify, at Joico we use high quality sulfates that are cleansing enough to rid the hair of build up and debris, but not strong enough to strip hair color molecules. Our shampoos are formulated to mimic the pH of hair to ensure we are not raising the cuticular layer or causing unneeded aggression. We hope this gives you some clarification! Thanks again for your question! ✨💕Was this answer helpful to you

K-Pak to the Rescue!

Years ago when I was in high school, I severely damaged my hair to the point of melting it. I had to go to the salon after hours for an emergency rescue. The hair dresser used K-Pak Reconstructor Treatment on my hair like a mask. Told me to leave it on overnight, then come back in the morning. My ha...

The new formula is TERRIBLE.

I have been using the K-Pak line for years. It smelled good, cleansed thoroughly without drying my hair out or stripping my color (even though I wasn't using the color-treated hair formula), didn't build up - I just loved it. Imagine my surprise when I picked up a liter in the new packaging in Augu...

Hair Type Wavy Hair

I have already seen improvements despite only using it twice since purchasing it. It's amazing how much smoother and softer my hair is already. It's nearly frizz-free after blow drying (which I normally struggle with.) I was also surprised by the scent. I'm very sensitive to strong fragrances, but this stuff smells heavenly. The only complaint is that I have to use a lot of product when washing, but to be fair, my hair is very thick.
