Most Helpful Positive Review Great for fine damaged hair I've been doing construction for 10 years so my hair is messed up from years of hard hats, being pulled back, and things getting in it. Started using this 2-3x a week along with the shampoo and my hair is stronger, softer, and smells great even between washes! I only wash my hair 2x a week and if it's super tangled from work I'll just use conditioner between washes. I'm happy my hair is starting to look healthy again.
Side notes: You do need to throughly rinse your hair after using it though, rinse it out 2x as long as you do with regular conditioner with tepid water and it will not look/feel greasy.
And every few weeks after towel drying my hair I'll put a quarter sized amount on my wet hair before bed for a deep condition, keep it away from roots obvs but your hair will be super soft and it won't be a sticky/frizzy mess like some overnight conditioner treatments are.
Most Helpful Critical Review New formula is terrible Same as a bunch of other reviewers, but adding mine to the mix so maybe less people will buy it and they'll fix it.
The old formula was fantastic. Maybe not for every single hair type, but it was amazing for damage and my fine hair. My hair was always detangled, moisturized, and incredibly healthy feeling after using it, but still had volume and wasn't weighed down. (Btw, I can use tons of deep conditioners, this was just one of those special ones that moisturized just as much while keeping hair volume.)
This new one is terrible. It's worse than a lot of the worst drugstore conditioners I avoid. Not to be dramatic, but it's that bad. Basically the reverse of the old one. It seems kind of similar coming out of the bottle, but it's gloopy and hair feels extra tangled after using it. Almost matted together while it's still in your hair. It also weighs it down and makes hair feel greasy. On top of all that it just leaves hair feeling dry and damaged.
I still have the end of an old, big bottle, so I can directly compare and am not just reminiscing. It's still wonderful. This new formula is awful.
I really wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this.
I will add I bought this somewhere else for both bottles, but came here to check the reviews and see if others were talking about it. They are. Not surprised it's marked down here.

Great product
Awful since Joico changed formula/smell 1
Kimmyh from Charlotte NC
Absolutely horrible that Joico has changed the formula and smell of this line. I have used this for over 10 years and now I can't even stand the smell and it simply doesn't work. PLEASE Joico go back to the previous formula. The other reviews are noting the same things. Don't get why companies change what has been working for years. Joico you lost a customer!
It didn't change my life.. 2

I have a lot of damage from bleaching my hair and heat so I'm looking for something good to help show my hair some love. I used this product for about 3 weeks and didn't notice a significant difference in the health of my hair.
NEW FORMULA IS TERRIBLE 1
K from Arcadia, CA
This used to be my favorite conditioner. It was so amazing and did wonders for my hair. Now that they have changed the formula, it actually become the worst conditioner I have ever used. It feels like a completely new conditioner. I don't know if they are trying to save money or something, but I'd be willing to pay more for this product if they changed the formula back to how it was before. The smell is so strong now that I feel sick from it. I can't even go to sleep and my mouth keeps watering from the terrible chemical scent. My hair also feels so dry now.

Hard to find as good as this one 5
Getera from Bellevue
My hair is both waiving and straight, dry and normal, so it is hard to find something suitable for my uneven type of hair. I'm using this one for around two years and it still works best than the other conditioner. It make my hair neither dry, nor sticky and I really appreciate it
I won't buy again! 1

What happened? I used to like this product. It seems like it is a bit runny and a strange consistency. Does not condition my hair like it used to in the past. I either got a bad batch or they have changed the formula. Very disappointed and won't purchase again.

Worse Joico product I've tried 1
Hair diva from pa
This product was like goo on my hair..when rinsed it left a waxy goo like coating n my hair was dry n tangled it would not come out! I tried reshampooing and it helped a tiny bit..i ended up using a newer Loreal product as cowash n it cleaned it right out thank God! I LOVE The Intense Hydrator from this line it leaves my hair like silk. I use the defy damage leave in daily, and i been buyng the blue moisture line( especially the balm) for years. But this product... just awful.

bad 3
krissyann from ca
I was recommended this conditioner from an Ulta employee. I used it a few times it made my hair feel so bad. I figured my hair needs to adjust to it, so I continued to use it. a couple of months now, and my hair is so dry and falling out. I brought this up to an Ulta employee and they said to much keratin is bad for the hair and can damage it. I was only using it a few times a week. my hair is ruined. do not buy.
Absolutely love this and the smell 5

I only ended up buying this because they did not have the Joico Moisturizing conditioner. It upsets me because they never have it when I need it.
hate the new formula 1
SJ from Florida
I used to love the old formula of kpak. Picked up a new bottle through an online order not knowing the formula changed. So disappointed when I smelled the new formula. I decided to give it a try and it made my hair feel terrible. Also, the smell gave me a migraine and would not come out of my hair. Into the trash with this one! Joico, come back with the old formula or you have lost a long time customer.

This conditioner along with the shampoo keeps my hair looking fresh and helps to keep it from being colored so soon
Leaves hair silky 5
Diannenav from Houston,TX
Okay i was skeptical about getting this conditioner just because reviews were between really good and bad. As soon as put the conditioner on my hair it just detangled and smoothed my hair so much it was amazing!! I was able to run my fingers through my hair really easy. I have damaged hair from maintaining my blonde so this is a great product for me,
I will continually buy it. 5

Been buying Joico for years and this is garbage. Fried my hair out, been breaking, don't understand what's going on. Threw out the rest after figuring out why my hair was so bad

I swear Joico saves my hair every time. 5
Lauren from Media
My natural hair color makes my hair dry and brittle. But Joico's damage and reconstructive shampoo and conditioner adds all the moisture and nutrients back into my hair. I have been using it for years and will continue to do so. It's definitely worth the price.
Don't buy if you're naturally oily 2
Izzy from Los Angeles
At first I was loving the shampoo and conditioner but after a while I started getting a lot of buildup in the back of my head as if I didn't wash my hair completely so I thought so after the first time seeing it but every time after I showered it would still be there and it was annoying because I felt gross even if I just had showered my hair. But however, I did like it in the beginning because my hair felt fuller and my curls were curlier than ever but didn't work out for me.
I've been buying this product for years! 5
rosales.vee from Los Angeles, CA
I've been using this product for years now. I usually bleach my hair once or twice a year and this conditioner works very well, and helps with damaged parts. I usually leave it on longer than a minute to really help my dry treated hair. I am able to grow my hair out pretty long regardless of how may times I get my hair done.
