Most Helpful Positive Review BEST CHAPSTICK EVER!! Not just for men!
I cannot get enough of this chapstick it is absolutely amazing you can ask anyone at Ulta and they will suggest this lol. I have pretty dry lips no matter how much water I drink and this stuff helps 100% I use it all day and at night I like to glob it on right before bed so it works it's magic while I sleep. The pic is of my actual nightstand... I have a problem #noshame
Most Helpful Critical Review Disgusting to both smell and accidentally taste
This had so many 5 star reviews I needed to try it. It is super thick so will only work as an occlusive moisturizer like a mask; if you need something to seep in for severely chapped lips I suggest something with a far thinner consistency. It only comes with SPF, which I didn't want because of the fragile nature of my lips due to being on oral retinoids. I wanted Vitamin E, which only came in the Vitamin E and Shea butter version. The scent is so gross and overpowering at that. I don't lick my lips, but the cracks I have reach into areas where saliva naturally touches. The taste is even worse than the smell! I had to wipe it off almost immediately it was that gross, which wasn't easy to do while also trying to not rip off any skin. Returning ASAP.
Reviewed by 833 customers Sits like wax on my lips
Twinks76 from CT
After reading the comments raving about this I decided to try it. I'm not sure what the hype is. For me it does not melt into my lips nice AT ALL! It's feels like I took heavy wax and spread it all over my lips. I am going to keep it for sunscreen in the summer time because unlike other stick lip sunscreen this does not have that taste that makes me nauseous! I got the pineapple mint and shea butter ones.
BEST lip balm, taste shouldn't matter lol
Mimi from Pittsburgh
I never write reviews but this is the only lip balm that truly works other than aquaphor and I'm amazed!! My husband never puts lip balm on, but I catch him kissing me purely for the benefit of the lip balm transfer haha. And it's a lip balm you shouldn't base your review off of the taste of a LIP product when it was never advertised as edible?
Works great so far
Tee from Tx
I have the most annoying case of chapped lips: cracked, bleeding, constant shedding, etc. I've tried aquaphor, burts bee's, blistex, chapstick, Vaseline, Hangover pillowbalm.. scrubs and natural remedies.. THIS PRODUCT WORKS THE BEST. I still shed a lot, but this lip balm makes it less painful and I like that it has SPF. I like that it actually soaks into the skin instead of sitting on top like other greasy/waxy lip balms
Horrible taste, decent lip balm.
Tiff B from New jersey
A shame because it seems like good lip balm but the taste is very very bad. Someone asked if it tasted bad and that answer was a lie, that upsets me even more. Way too expensive for a product that tastes this bad.

Great product, terrible packaging
Hope from Arkansas
First off, the product itself is amazing. Let's set that straight. Thick enough to stay on long enough through the night to work, but not so thick it's uncomfortable.
However, as mentioned by others, the tube does and will burst. I even tried to be careful with it each each after reading the reviews and it still happened to me.
The tube will definitely burst open, so make sure you have some sort of small container to repot the product in for when it does. I can't imagine just tossing the product like others say they did.
I will still be buying the lip treatment as it's now a part of my morning routine, but I will definitely immediately put it in something else.

This glides on very nice. I like the silkiness of it. I don't feel instantly hydrated but I did just put it on so I will give it some time to see how my lips react.

i have always been picky about chapstick/lip balm. i like this one & the glossier balm.com. my boyfriend used to just use any chapstick he could find, but after trying this once, we end up going through at least 1 tube per month. moisturizing
The BEST lip balm!
Brit from DMV
So good! Keeps your lips moisturized for hours with one application even through eating and drinking. I know this line was designed with men in mind but this stuff is great for anyone and everyone. (Does contain lanolin, not recommended for anyone w/ wool allergies)
Gabby from Colorado
This stopped my lips from getting sun burnt but this wasn't very moisturizing. It also didn't glide on. Not a big deal but also not a favorite
Swear by it, current one is different
Hayley from Ohio
I looove this product and so does my husband, but the current tube I have is different than the previous ones. It is almost like an exfoliant, it has a grainy texture with the first swipe, but is fine after? None of my previous tubes have done this, so I'm not sure. Everything else is normal and I plan on using it and buying more in the future!
My New Fav
Kass from AZ
My lips have been very dry and I haven't been able to find something to help my lips until I purchased this. It was instant relief and great for during the day and at night.
BrandyW from Deer Park, TX
This feel great on my lips, BUT, I was really wanting an overnight treatment type of product. My lips are still dry and flaky when I wake up. Will still use it during the day though!
Rebecca from Maryland
I love this balm so far. I bought it for the SPF. There is no chemical taste to it, which I love. It keeps my lips moisturized without wearing off. Very long lasting.
Very sticky tacky
Ultashopper2241 from California
I normally love Jack Black products and I'm glad people like this sunscreen lip balm. For me, I find it very tacky and sticky. I would not purchase this again. I got the regular Shea Butter and Vitamin E version. It does not feel comfortable on my lips at all. I might have to even throw this away unless Ulta maybe allows for store credit or exchange for another product. I'm surprised this didn't work out.
This is the ONLY thing that works for me!
jayme from texas
I tried to start using a lip mask from another brand every night before bed. Over time it made my lips dry (opposite effect of what I wanted) & I've been using anything I possibly can to fix it but my lips just kept getting worse. It became painful if I didn't have any balm or oil on.
Then I tried this Jack Black intense therapy & I'm not joking when I say the next day I woke up & my lips didn't hurt anymore! I didn't even need to apply anything during the day either! I tried at least 10 other products that never made a difference.... this is the only one!!!
I have the grapefruit & ginger one, which smelled good but I don't care for the overpowering taste that's left in my mouth, so next time I'm going to get the Shea & Vitamin E one. But no matter what....I will NEVER stop using this product! PLEASE I beg you please never stop making this ❤️❤️❤️
Best Chapstick Ever!
lauren r. from oklahoma
i've only been using this for a day, but it literally brought back all the hydration and plumpness to my lips. i've been struggling for about a month with my lips being super dry and peeling, making them bleed and rough. i've been using vasaline and that didn't even work like how this stuff works. the mint makes your lips feel fresh but doesn't dry them out. a little does go a long way, but it's super hydrating! i highly highly highly recommend this!
Favorite Lip Balm
Hal from Indianapolis
this has to be my absolute new favorite from the last year or so. i was trying to find one with spf that didn't taste or smell like sunscreen and this beat out literally any other option for me. it is deeply moisturizing, the bottle themselves last a long time, and it doesn't have that sunscreen feeling to it. i'm actually an ulta employee, and this is the lip balm i bring with me to work and now my coworkers at my store have started buying it because of me. 10/10 recommend this anytime someone asks me for a good lip balm in the store
Best lip balm ever!!!

This is my everyday lip balm and I love it so much! I've used it for over ten years now and it still works great for me. Definitely would recommend!!

Lin from Hayward
For me $8 is expensive for a lip balm but definitely worth it!!
I used the Nivea chapstick for several years and it was the ONLY thing that worked but after they changed the package it stopped working for me. I was relying on aquaphor until I found something that worked. I decided to try this and im so happy I did!! A little goes on long way and the consistency is perfect even after wiping my lips with a napkin my lips were still really moisturized with product.
THE TRUTH BEHIND CHAPSTICK
KRG from Chicago
I worked at LUSH a while ago and a secret I learned is that all chapstick actually makes your lips dryer so that you have to keep using it which = $$$ for companies. HOWEVER- this is my new go to because this actually hydrates my lips (the SPF is a plus too)! I keep using it because i'm assisted to how soft my lips feel and am considering getting one for each purse I have so i'm never without it lol
My new go to lip balm!
Charge It To The Game from NC
Move over Kiehls et al, Jack Black balm is thicker, richer and lasts longer...all at the same price or less. The applicator is more ergonomic than tradition balms. Very pleased with this product.
IM PICKY AND I LIKE IT
ali from minneapolis, mn
Im super picky about chapsticks. I usually only used burts bees but I am trying new things. I have sensitive skin. I don't like oily stuff at all. This is like lipgloss without being super tacky and sticky. I love the feeling. It's very buttery. I just tried the shea butter scent, but now I am going to purchase more scents. It also has very clean ingredients and SPF.
One of the best lip balms I've ever tried
Bunnycat from Boston, MA
I learned about this product on TikTok with a creator who reviews lip balms. So glad I found this item. It should be kept with the other lip balms and not in just the men's section because it's probably one of the best lip balms I've ever tried.
