It works but..
So I bought this as someone with ginger hair, and I love the feel of it, but the color really doesnt work with my skin tone and everything. I would definitely recommend a different color though!
Oddly not bad for dill pickle flavored balm
Yep, I fell for bizarre flavor idea of pickle flavored lip balm. Saw the in-store dosplay and decided to try 'The Real Dill' flavor, which looks like it's not available anymore here on Ulta. The balm itself is great - very moisturizing, isn't goopy or super sticky, and a little bit goes a long way so a tube will last for at least a couple if months even with frequent use. The color is slime green coming out of the tube but doesn't impart any color at all on your lips. I'm a fan of e.l.f.'s lip balms because you get a really great product that's comparable to expensive big name balms but for a fraction of their price. Plus e.l.f. tends to have pretty good flavor options as well which actually taste good. I hate lip balms that taste more like the smell of burning plastic than strawberry or cherry or whatever flavor it's supposed to be. E.l.f. did a surprisingly good job of capturing the flavor and scent of a typical dill pickle. This crazy lip balm tastes exactly like the dill pickle slices you get on a burger from McDonald's. No joke. While they nailed the flavor, I'm happy to say the pickle flavor doesn't last more than a couple of seconds. The first time you lick your lips after applying this particular flavor of lip balm, the flavor and scent immediately disappear. I kind if think because it IS pickle flavored that e.l.f. used some kind of flavor crystal or something that quickly dissolves rather than long lasting flavor additives for more palatable options like coconut or blue raspberry slush. It's nice to know I'm able to actually use this pickle lip balm and not have it make everything I eat or drink have a hint of dill pickle, and people I'm near won't catch a whiff of dill pickles, either. Gotta give e.l.f. credit for coming up with a great trio of gimmick flavors to get people to buy and try their lip balm. Two seconds of "Holy cow this seriously tastes like pickle!", then you're left with an unflavored and unscented but seriously effective lip product.
Spicy Dill Literally Burned My Lips
I'm so sad and will have to return it because I love the smell and color but the spicy dill literally burned my lips and after 2 minutes it kept getting worse! :-( Maybe I'm sensitive to something in it.
Terrible taste
Yes I like pickles and yes I fell for the marketing These taste absolutely disgusting!!! The Gift w purchase is cute but if you return the glosses you need to return the gift Which makes sense Im returning all of it
Very Disappointed
This is specifically for the SPICY DILL PICKLE lippie! There was no pickle flavor, no spice, and no plump; the flavor was just straight salty. Obviously the pickle balms are just for fun, but as a pickle lover i was disappointed that there was no flavor.
