Key Ingredients
- Glycolic Acid: A highly effective chemical exfoliant removes dead skin cell buildup for noticeably softer, firmer, clearer skin. Also helps to prevent ingrown hairs.
- Volcanic Ash: Packed with revitalizing antioxidants, the natural particles work as a gentle physical exfoliant to help smooth, and resurface the skin.
- Kaolin Clay: A natural clay that draws out skin impurities, oil and dirt, plus helps control oiliness due to its natural absorption properties.
To use as a daily cleanser, apply a nickel-size amount to wet hands, work into a creamy lather and apply to slightly damp face using a circular motion. Immediately rinse. For deep down cleansing, switch this cleanser to a purifying mask. Apply a nickel-size amount to dry face and evenly apply using a circular motion, avoiding eye area and lips. Allow to dry approximately 5 minutes. Rinse.
Precautions: For external use only. Avoid eye contact. If product enters eyes, rinse with water.

I am in my mid 50's and while my skin isn't dry per se, my nose and my Tzone appear very dry under my foundation. I'm looking for something to do a deep but gentle exfoliating. Would This work?
- Asked by Tracyg
- Official Answer By Jack BlackThanks for asking! Deep Dive is a great daily cleanser and exfoliator. We can also recommend Face Buff if you're needing something with a little more grit. Was this answer helpful to you

How long does this product last after opening? There isn't a little icon on the bottle anymore, why is that?
- Asked by DevonRexMom
- Official Answer By Jack BlackThanks for reaching! The period-after-opening for Deep Dive is 6 months, and the product can last 3 years when unopened. The PAO symbol is required in the EU, but not in the US, and we're no longer sold in the EU so the symbol is no longer included on the product packaging. Hope that helps clarify! Was this answer helpful to you

Hello! My boyfriend has VERY OILY skin and I have been looking for a face cleanser for him. He also has some redness and a little bit of scarring. He doesn't often get acne. If this product isn't meant for him, what would you recommend. In addition to that, what would be the best oil-free toner or hydration product for him? Thank you!
- Asked by Vallery
- Official Answer By Jack BlackHi there, Thanks for asking! Deep Dive Glycolic Facial Cleanser would be great for him! We would also recommend Clean Break Oil-Free Moisturizer after cleansing (seems counterintuitive, but you need to moisturize after cleansing otherwise your skin actually produces even more oil)! We also have an Oil-Control Toner as well, but it is not currently carried at Ulta. Hope that helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Would this be too strong for my 12 year old son going through puberty to use on his facial acne?
- Asked by boymom2
- Official Answer By Jack BlackHi there, Thanks for asking! Deep Dive Glycolic Facial Cleanser is gentle enough for daily use. With skin conditions like acne we recommend consulting with a dermatologist prior to beginning a new regimen, or spot testing for sensitivity prior to use. We can also recommend Bump Fix Acne, Razor Bump, and Ingrown Hair Treatment. Hope that helps and please let us know if you have any other questions! Was this answer helpful to you

Bye-bye fine lines and acne ( sensitive skin approved!)
Best glycolic face wash for the money. I use it every night with my dvf face brush and I have noticed significant reduction of fine lines and the minimal acne that I do get. Love that I can use it as a mask too (typically I use it on my T zone for the mask). It smells fine, a little goes a long way....

Mixed Bag of Effects
Tried this from a small-volume sample and was really impressed by how it diminished the appearance of my stubborn blackheads and evened the texture of my skin. I was so enchanted by it, I've since purchased a good amount of bottles and only just recently flipped the bottle to look at the ingredient...

product was underwhelming - watered down - attempted to mix it in the tube with shaking and squeezing and it's just too much liquid (water).
My everyday fash wash

This is my go to face wash. When I first bought several years ago I used it just as a mask and used the daily fash wash as my cleanser. I have since made this my daily and use the other one when shaving. Lathers up well and feels like it cleans well and exfoliates a little.
Great Stuff!

Love this product, I'm using 2-3 times a week as a cleanser (when I feel my skin needs a deeper cleaning), and at least once a week as a mask. I have oily skin, this cleanser makes my skin feel cleaned and refreshed. In the other days, use the Daily Cleanser, also amazing.
Would definitely buy again

I enjoy using this as my mud mask as well as my daily facial cleanser; I use it every other day for my oily skin, so I am pleased that this cleanser comes in a larger size.
