I purchased mine a few weeks ago and been using it for about a week or 3 so I can give a strong opinion.Let my start off by saying " THIS IS NOT FOR ILY OR COMBO SKIN! ". My skin type is dry/normal, acne prone, and sensitive.I am dry in the colder months and in summer i'm normal.Since were in the colder months or at-least where I live, I have super dry skin especially underneath my eyes. This primer works like a magic when applied right. This can be super heavy and greasy and gross if not applied right. The way I apply mine I first start by dispensing a quarter of the primer on my clean finger tips remember ladies LESS IS MORE! " BTW I do moisturize with a lightweight moisturizer ahead of time " then I dot the primer underneath my eyes and on my dry patches only which is commonly found on my cheeks and forehead. Then I rub the product working my way outwards and dab underneath my eyes.I give the primer at least 3 min to 5 min to soak in.That being said this product is OMG amazing! I have pores & it camouflages them perfectly without feeling clogged. I feel hydrated but not oily? My foundation glides on smooth and even.I use the elf's acne fighting foundation which is targeted for people with " Acne/Oily skin " and without this primer my foundation goes on chalky and emphasizes my dry patches and pores, but with this its pure magic (:.Lets talk texture & scent , the texture of this product is like creamy baby oil.It has a silicone feel to it, so if your a person who HATES silicone based primers this one wouldn't be for you. This primer has a faint like makeup scent to it nothing obnoxious. Now lets talk packaging! The packaging is lovely for the price you pay, but here's a bad thing that I HATE with elf primers, they aren't fully filled with product, think half of the bottle. This is super annoying but then again this should last you a while if you use a little, like I said a little goes a LOONG way.So overall I would repurchase and do recommend for dry skin.
I wanna start by saying I Love ELF and 99% of my last haul. Unfortunately this primer didn't make the cut. Its very oily! My face is super dry & flakey this winter. I thought this would help but it isn't just oily, its greasy :( BEWARE! It feels like im putting on a mild form of baby oil. I won't be using it on my face but thought I could keep it as HAND LOTION. Yes, its that overly moisturizing.

After moisturizing I apply this before my makeup and I love how my makeup sets.

Hate texture, smell and how it feels on the skin but it works

This product will save you large amounts of cash on your foundation. Made applying makeup faster and no need to use as much foundation as I would have if I had to apply foundation alone. WORTH every penny and more.

Amazing product I have ever used. Would love to purchase again and definitely will recommend for the one with dry skin.

I just received this product and so far I love it. It's very smooth and works well.

I have dry skin so I thought the moisture from this primer would work with that but it worked against it. It felt a little too greasy and never seemed to melt into my skin. I felt like my foundation slid around on top of it. Not a good match for me.

I have oily & (ahem) mature skin. Poreless Face Primer - Travel Size works for me.
It is also seems oily, but it works for me.

I have super sensitive skin and I also have eczema. This face primer didn't irritate my skin like a lot of other primers do. I also have dry skin and this primer made my skin feel super hydrated and it made my makeup lay really nicely. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has dry skin and/or sensitive skin.

I used this hydrating primer a lot during my high school years when I was the most prone to breaking out due to my dry skin. I must say, it DEFINITELY hydrates your skin (I was tempted to skip my moisturizer, shhh). I also like how I can tell how much is left in the bottle by looking at the bottom. Additionally, as someone who has hyperhidrosis (a condition where my face sweats consistently), this primer helped my makeup stay on my face. It does it's job!

I like it, it blurs your pores and imperfections well, but it feels so weird on the skin for a moment, but it eventually goes away.
Angie P from Orlando
Too oily & had a bad acne break out. Do not recommend.

Left my skin feeling oily and I didn't like the scent. I would recommend the E.L.F. mint melt primer instead of this one

Interestingly, this face primer has a mild cooling effect. Only 4 stars because it feels slightly tacky.

This primer left my skin smooth and silky. It made my foundation feel even smoother. I'm not sure if it is hydrating, but it blurred some of my pores, but my texture still showed.

I love this primer. I have sensitive skin and it really smoothes everything and leaves it dewy. It doesnt break me out. Its unscented, the only con is it has a rubbery smell. The smell goes away once foundation is on. Its a smooth silicon texture.

I use this everyday, I have a mixture of oily, and dry skin. So I bought this, it does sometimes leave my face looking oily, so I wouldn't recommend buying it if you have oily skin. It smells kind of bad, but my E.L.F foundation I use smells AMAZING and covers up the smell.
Kaity from Maryland
I'm not sure if this is standard across all bottles, but this smells awful, I can't use it. I was also expecting a more gel-like texture, but this was extremely runny and felt greasy rather than hydrating (didn't feel like it sunk into my skin, but rather sat on top). Would not recommend if this is true for all cases.

So on the picture it looks like this almost greenish looking cream gel formula right? But when I got mine it was, this clear gel, and when I applied it on my face it was oily, not hydrating AT ALL, and felt like one of those silicone primers😒
It's just not what I expected, but if you like that type of primer🤷♀️meh

Absolutely love this product. Price is fantastic goes on smooth. I have seen several people mention an odor, I did not notice that at all. This product by far in my opinion beats out other very pricey primers. Definitely going to be a staple for my dry skin.
Carlini from Somewhere
It's great but if you have acne prone skin I don't recommend

This primer is the same consistency as the higher priced one I usually buy (Tarte Pore Mattifying) and works just about as well. The problem for me was that it caused me to have a painful pimple of some sort right between my eyes, which took 2-3 days to clear up. So I won't be able to continue using this one.
