I TOTALLY LOVED my chubby stick shadow tint for eyes. 04 ample amber. I'm so bummed that it's discontinued. I'm 57 years old & have been wearing makeup for 40 years, and that was the very best eyeshadow I've ever worn! I'm scared to try this, because of all the bad reviews. I don't like dark colors. I like to use a light cream shimmer for the inner, and for outer I used the ample amber for my dark shade. What do you recommend? Can we not buy the chubby stick eyeshadow anywhere at all?!! Not a smart thing for Clinique to do. Obviously the people making these decisions & changes have never worn makeup before! I wear it everyday! It's useless if you only like the 1 color or you like the cream & not the dry eye shadow on the other end. What do you recommend for eyeshadow in a copper, shimmer color?
- Asked by booboo
- Official Answer By Clinique USIt's never our intention to disappoint a loyal Clinique fan and we appreciate you sharing your insights with us. Fans of Ample Amber are loving Clinique High Impact Shadow Play in Flame + Ember (a shimmery two-tone warm-copper combo) or All About Shadow Super Shimmer in Sunset Glow (a shimmery, medium golden amber). We have a beautifully simple return policy to ensure your satisfaction. Was this answer helpful to you

Love these for a quick but complete look!
It seriously bothers me how every time Clinique changes a product the supposed "lifetime Clinique fans" come out in droves to complain about it. I liked the old chubby sticks, but I also really like these. I don't use the sponge applicator for the powder end because I do have a hard time getting it ...

Terrible product design. Bad color matching duos.
User has been a Clinique customer for approx. 15 years & has been pleased with their products. However, this product - HIGH IMPACT SHADOW PLAY SHADOW + DEFINER, is a poorly designed product along with its mismatched duo colors. 1.) The product design doesn't work effectively to give enough of the...

Good for Thin Skin - Doesn't Drag
I have two of these. The one with the navy shadow was great. So I bought another with a gold frost bronze shadow. Both have super creamy shadow sticks that I love. But the gold frost bronze shadow flakes. So I suppose it depends on the color, but I am sure glad I bought the first one.
Great Eyeshadow
I love this eyeshadow! Easy to blend and it's beautiful on. I had never used the chubby stick everyone is talking about. I have been using this eyeshadow for way over a year and I still love it!
Clinique is supposed to be for sensitive skin
My skin reacted to this and thats never happened with any other clinique product.
I miss Chubby Sticks

I recently purchased the cafe au lait hoping to recreate the combo of bountiful beige and lots of latte from the chubby sticks line. Yeah no. The dark brown is *much* darker. Also while this is a nice idea for an "on the go" look it should NOT be considered a replacement for the chubby sticks. If I wanted powder eye shadow I'd buy powder. Please bring back chubby sticks. Increase the price if you have to - but please bring them back.
NO blend-ability…feels hard on mature skin

I had high hopes for this product. Infact I bought 3 different shades. However, It doesn't blend at all. If you have mature skin, it causes MORE creases while accentuating wrinkles. It "can" be used as base with a separate powder on top of it. But then it defeats the purpose of it being a one & done if another product had to do the job of blending.
