Easy to use double-duty winner that stays put

Gifted by Madison Reed. I have been impressed with this multitasking root touchup and brow filler powder. The Sabbia Light Brown is a great match for my light brown highlighted hair. It is easy to use and I like that it comes with two different brushes. The larger brush is great for the part and th...

Must have when you have no time to color order on an extended vacation. It covered my roots in the heat and water of the Amalfi Coast Italy with no problem.

I liked that this was easy to apply. However, the brush is not good! That brush hairs came out of the handle after 2 uses. So my rating is a 3 for that fact!

If I wanted something thick sticking to my hair, im better off using mascara. If you scratch your head or play with your hair, this stuff definitely gets under your nails and the powder gets on your hands or hat. It's totally expected, yes, but it's really bad. It also stays under your nails so its not like you can pick it off easily, you have to run it under warm water and soap to get the stains out from under your nails, like mascara. Dont get me wrong, if theres no other choice, I'll buy this but if there's 10 other brands, I'll try those out first. Also, I have black hair and trying to avoid dabbing it on my scalp is pretty hard, especially on my hairline/face. Its like the line you get when you dye your hair and the stain is noticeably there. Ive been using Divi and like that because the powder is less dramatic and thick. Their powder makes my greys look like highlights. Madison Reeds looks and feels like a cover up. Even though i try to go light with the powder, it's pretty cakey.

MadisonReed covers my grays very well and gives my hair an overall shine and great colors. Not just one color, but it looks like I have highlights! My hairdresser always comments on how nice my color is. Also, it is gentle. so my hair has improved much in the 2 years I have been using it.

We understand your concern is our Talc ingredient however, our talc is cosmetic grade, which means it is purified and does not contain asbestos. Purified cosmetic grade talc is the only talc that is permitted in any products since 1973, so there is no danger from this. Though manufacturer claims this talc is sourced from purified food asbestos, are you able to provide 3rd party testing results for this? Does it even go through 3rd party testing? Why isnt it noted in product details that it is from purified asbestos for transparency?

Hello! Thank you for your question and concern. The talc used in our Great Cover Up is a safe, purified cosmetic grade talc. Purified cosmetic grade talc is the only talc permitted in any products since 1973 and is asbestos free. Where there appears to be a concern is when talc is applied to sensitive areas.
