I tested the hot cocoa shade, which shows up on my lips as sort of a brownish-pinky nude. It's a little bit buildable, but mostly it dries down to a very sheer hue. I received this product for free from Estee Lauder for testing and review purposes. I have the color maple syrup and it is a nice warm caramel brown that goes on pretty light. This lip oil is so much longer lasting than I expected. It lasted a couple hours even while eating and drinking. After it faded off my lips still felt very hydrated. It's not sticky and feels great on. I will buy this in more colors!
More of a lip gloss than a lip oil

I am reviewing the Glossy Pout Lip Oil in shade 03 Rose Water. This shade is a perfect match to my lip color and I assume it'll be the perfect match for many others as well. It reminds me more of a lip gloss because it has a moderate level of tackiness that I wasn't expecting in a lip oil. The applicator allows the product to go on very smoothly and evenly and doesn't require more than one swipe to get perfect coverage. The color and shine are long lasting and don't appear patchy throughout the day. The lip oil has a pleasant aroma that reminds me of marshmallows. It didn't hold up well after eating a meal but I don't expect a lip oil or lip gloss to nor did it claim to be long lasting. Overall, I am a fan of this product and I carry it in my purse everyday. Weirdest lip oil experience

I want to give it 5 stars and 1 star at the same time. For the first three hours, this is the best lip oil I've tried. It feels nourishing, hydrating, not sticky, and like it protects my lips from the elements. I love the packaging - the doe foot is the only one I have that gets a good amount of product in BOTH sides of the doe foot, so I didn't have to dip back in for more product. The color is very pretty on the lips. It's reflective but not too shiny. It grips the lips and stays in place - it won't migrate outside of lip lines. I thought I had found my new holy grail. And then, 3 hours in my lips started to feel uncomfortable. By 3.5 hours, I reapplied. That made my lips start to burn. I had to completely wipe the product off my lips, and my lips were sensitive the rest of the day. The same thing has happened every time I wore this. I won't use this lip oil b/c of the pain. This shade is the perfect pink rose color to compliment any of my make up looks. It's silky and glides on easily, leaving my lips looking perfectly pink and lush. The applicator wand is groved to glide over your lips while covering them perfectly. Love the formula and longevity!
