Seems to work
I really hesitated to buy this because of the price and I wasn't sure how it would work but Ulta has such a libral return policy I thought I would try it. I used this when my hair had a lot of gray roots and I should have been using a box color like I usually do so this was a pretty tough test of th...

Does not work!
Discovered this at Ulta by accident. I was excited about this product. I'm getting tired of root touch ups every 2 weeks. Well it did nothing. I left it on for 40 mins. As I was waiting, it looked like my roots were turning golden brown. I needed darker, but I would have been fine with it. Washed ...

I probably will not buy this again.
I just feel like there are better glossing products for my hair. I have naturally red/ginger hair with a few natural blonde highlights. It turned my highlights FULLY pink which I dont hate but also wasnt looking for. The copper is darker than I thought.
NO
I bought this to add gloss and colour to my light strawberry blonde hair, but it left it patchy and uneven, with a cheap-looking, artificial dark red finish. Worse, the colour won't wash out. I ended up having to buy hair dye to try to even it out. Really disappointing.
Dear bad reviews with 0 hair coloring knowledge:
COLOR DEPOSITING MASKS/TREATMENTS WILL NEVER COVER YOUR GRAY HAIR. I'm sorry to dissapoint some of you but if you want gray coverage you have to use permanent color or semi permanent with developer. This color is meant to deposit a sheer amount of color on the top layer of your hair. It will LIGHTLY stain your hair. It's not going to last very long or give you a ton of coverage because there is nothing in this product that will help the color penetrate the hair follicle deeply enough to give you a ton of coverage. That doesn't mean there's some kind of flaw with this product. THAT IS WHAT THE PRODUCT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. Yes it will stain your hands, scalp and whatever surface it gets on. Thats what any hair color depositing product will do. So wear gloves/ be careful handling the product as you should with ANY product that's meant to stain your hair. Yes you need to use conditioner afterwards. So after you rinse, you will need to use conditioner for your hair to feel soft. Even with professional grade colors you need to condition afterwards. This goes with ANY product that will add pigment to the hair. Some of y'all seriously want professional results without paying professional prices. This is a great product if you actually understand what it's meant to do. Stop leaving bad reviews of perfectly good products simply because you chose to not do a quick google search to understand how this type of product works. OH & if you're a blonde expecting this to properly make you dark… EVEN PROFESSIONAL COLOR IS NOT ABLE TO MAKE YOU DARK WITHOUT ADDING A FILLER COLOR FIRST. Rant over. With love, Your local hair nerd
Wanted to love, but…
I put cool light brown in my hair and let it sit for longer than the 20 minutes to help with some brass and the first thing i noticed that there was barely any color getting on my hands when i was applying it. I thought, I would have at least some tinting on my hands from applying it. But nothing. So when i went to rinse it out, my hair also had nothing. Basically no tint. Drying formula. Disappointed. :(
Love this product
I love this product. It absolutley did cover my grey roots and gave my hair so much shine. I have red hair and used light brown Gloss and it turned out GREAT!

- Asked by Juli
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageYes, especially when using our darker shades. We always recommend wearing gloves when applying Gloss+ to prevent staining your hands. - Q
My hair is highlighted with gray and my natural color is turning a mousy light brown dark blonde but underneath in back is my natural color level 7-8 i was a Auburn color would the auburn color work to blend when I have 3 different shades on my hair
- Asked by Manatee
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageGreat question! With the different tones in your hair, we'd suggest blending Gloss+ Auburn with Gloss+ Light Brown for a more balanced result. Gloss+ is designed for gray blending rather than full gray coverage, so a strand test is especially important to see how the color takes to your highlights, grays, and natural hair! - Q
I have hand tied extensions. Is this safe to use on them?
- Asked by Tristen
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageWe recommend doing a small strand test before applying this product all over your hair. Apply a small amount of Gloss+ to an inconspicuous section and follow the label recommendations to check compatibility. If you have any questions or need help choosing the right product or shade, let us know and we’ll be happy to work with you! Reach out to info@dphue.com for further assistance. - Q
Do you just rinse out or do you have to use shampoo?
- Asked by Sien
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageHI! Gloss+ should be used like a deep conditioner, and you can simply style as normal after rinsing away. Safe to use as needed for a boost of shine and color refresh! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Will it lift my natural hair color?
- Asked by JJ
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageGloss+ won’t lift your natural or treated hair color. It’s a pigmented deep conditioner, also known as a semi-permanent hair color, with no ammonia or peroxide. It colors the outer strands of the hair and gently fades in about 6–10 shampoos. As always, we recommend doing a strand test first! Was this answer helpful to you
