Redken Extreme Length Shampoo For Longer, Stronger Hair ​

I recently tried the Redken Extreme Lengths Shampoo and Conditioner, and I have mixed—but mostly very positive—thoughts. First, the scent of both the shampoo and conditioner is absolutely delicious. It's a sweet, yummy fragrance, but it isn't overpowering at all. As someone who is sensitive to scents, I really appreciate how pleasant and gentle the smell is. It makes washing my hair feel like a little treat without triggering headaches or irritation. The shampoo works well, but it's a bit strong for my hair type. I have fine, thinning, wavy hair that needs frequent washing, and this shampoo feels a little too intense for me to use every time I wash. For my hair, it works better as a weekly shampoo rather than a daily or frequent one. Now the conditioner is a completely different story—it is absolutely divine. I have tried countless conditioners over the years and have honestly spent thousands of dollars trying to find the right one. This conditioner takes first place over every other conditioner I've ever used. I love that it's silicone-free and alcohol-free, and it feels incredibly lightweight. It doesn't weigh down my fine, thinning hair at all, which is rare. My hair feels soft, light, and healthy after using it. For my hair type, it's honestly perfect. The only issue I've had is trying to get clear information about the ingredients. I've reached out to Redken several times—both by email and phone—to ask about this but haven't received a clear answer. There is no protein listed on the bottle's ingredient list, and when I copied the ingredients into several ingredient-checking apps, none of them identified any proteins. This actually makes me very happy because I am protein-sensitive, and protein in hair products usually causes problems for my hair. However, the website advertises the product as using "soy protein technology." This is confusing, and I would really love clarification on whether this shampoo and conditioner actually contain soy protein or not. If someone from Redken could please clarify this, I would greatly appreciate it. Regardless of the confusion about the protein claim, I still absolutely love the conditioner and would highly recommend it to anyone with fine hair looking for a lightweight option.

I have very dry hair and lots of breakages due to bleaching it and this brand has help alot.

My college daughter is loving this product. She has used the Redken Extreme (strength repair) and liked it before so this line was definitely something she wanted to try. She can't wait to see how this product will strengthen and help with length because we know Redken products do what they say they'll do!

Redken products. This one however fell really short for me. Unfortunately it made my hair feel very processed, dry and much like brushing through a ratted barbies hair. It did the samd to my daughter.

I have extra long hair, to my hips, and is thin, somewhat wavy. I was looking for a new shampoo because my old one changed and the reviews were no longer good with new formula. I was recommended this shampoo by an Ulta employee. She was nice and for what I asked of a shampoo, this should have been fine. I was my hair 2-3 times a week. I used this shampoo three times and after each time, my hair became drier and drier. By the third time, the ends were getting so tangly after a shower that I was losing hair after brushing and my scalp was so dry that my hair felt straw like. Three strikes you're out. I wasn't going to keep using this shampoo because it was damaging my hair with every wash, and that's even with using extra hair oil to try and combat it. I switched to a new shampoo and after one wash, my hair is already feeling a bit better. The ends weren't tangly after a wash, my hair wasnt as straw like and my scalp wasn't dry. And that's just after one wash. The new shampoo is EVA NYC H2 WHOA! Hydrating shampoo.
