Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Lightly Scented

I received Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant (lightly scented) complimentary in exchange for my review. For starters, it's not lightly scented with a fragrance per se, more like a natural lanolin smell, which is in the ingredients listed. I was surprised upon using this product because I assumed it would be a hand or face cream, but it's actually a skin protectant with the active ingredient being petrolatum. I decided to use it overnight for my very dry, parched hands. It goes on thick and has a greasy feel to it, but I'm ok with that for overnight skin healing, however this took much longer than 8 hours to see results. I used it just about every night for two weeks to get the results pictured (red nails are before and gray nails are after). I should mention I tried to use more hand lotion during the day as well because my hands were to the point of being sore and cracked from the winter air. Unfortunately, it's not my favorite but I will use it when I want to moisturize deeply overnight. I think it would be good for heels and it also says it's good for skin irritations but I have not tried it in that capacity yet. I'm giving this a "just ok"

It has a nice scent to it and makes my skin feel repaired and hydrated making it an incredibly effective moisturizer that is easy to apply. I received for free in exchange for my honest opinion, however I definitely see myself buy this when it runs out! Perfect size for my purse or backpack.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Do I love taking photos with no makeup on?! No, I do not! However, I wanted to show how the product looks on the face. I do feel like it is super hydrating, however, it's super tacky! I used half a dimes worse, and I feel like that was sufficient, and my face still feels sticky an hour later. If I'm going to be home all day without any makeup on, it definitely is a product I will use, however, on a daily basis it's not something I would add to my usual routine. Plus, it does not smell very good.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have extremely dry skin that gets super uncomfortable and itchy in the wintertime or whenever I wash my hands too much. I keep this skin protectant in the kitchen, just in case and it's been an absolute life saver. I've used it in my cuticles, dry spots, and a very tiny amount goes such a long way. I also like that it's lightly scented, it smells clean not overpowering in any way. This is a holy grail skincare product for me. If you have dry skin like me I highly recommend it.

My one complaint is the "scent" this smells just like the ointment my mom used on me as a child. Other than that this is a make up bag STAPLE. My nose and lips have been so chapped this winter and this is so soothing and healing. Love it.
