It is very thin and easy to spread. I used my fingers to spread instead of a brush. After 5 hours of wear, it started to pill. I don't know if it didn't work well with my spf or a new serum that I put on this morning. My sunscreen doesn't cause other tinted moisturizer to pill so I'll have to try again without the serum next time. It is a nice package and I didn't smell anything. I received this product for free.
