Love the product but not the applicator
I received this dry shampoo powder free from PINCHme in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. Normally I use dry shampoo spray and have honestly never been satisfied with the results. This was my first time trying a dry shampoo powder. Let me emphasize that you MUST follow the directions exactly ...

Okay product but bad packaging
I like how finely-milled the powder is. It's BRIGHT white but pretty easy to work into my light brown hair, leaving behind minimal cast (although I do still wish it were tinted). It does a credible job of absorbing oils/not leaving my hair too "gritty" so overall I'm happy with the performance. The ...

After 2 months using the squeaky toy
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I prefer dry shampoos that give a little hold/texture so I can arrange my bangs around my face. This has been perfect for that. A little is all that's needed and the dispenser only puts out a little at a time, so I would say the dispenser works well and the price is reasonable. This is the first time I've had a dry shampoo where the actual bottle is squeezed rather than a pump on the top. It's super fun to powder my hair with a squeaky toy in the morning.
Not in love :/
I was really excited to try this and I bought this in-store. Since everyone is converting to non-butane shampoo… I thought this one would be a perfect for me. But over the weeks I've been using it… I started to realize small little specks in my hair. I did not have dandruff before this. So I assumed it was the product, but kept using it. Still… it does work, but it doesn't give me the clean look I want. It makes my hair look less oily, but doesn't make it look clean. Which is what I was expected and wanted from this product. Unfortunately, I will have to try a new product or make my own.
The scent is strong but bearable. That said, the applicator is awful! You have to shake it every time to get any to dispense and even then you only have about a 20% chance of any coming out. When it does come out, it's in a huge white cloud that shoots directly onto your head in a way larger quantity than you need in one spot. I have the best luck dispensing it into my hands and then working it into my roots, which is a bit messy but effective. Overall the experience is unnecessarily irritating when you are squeezing the bottle over and over again trying to get any out, only to get a huge burst all at once and then none again for another 4 shakes/squeezes. I love the concept but the packaging needs work!
Good product, bad packaging
Ive used other dry shampoo powders in these containers and never had an issues getting it out, but for some reason i cannot get product out of this packaging for the life of me. It's so difficult and has to be shaken before every puff and the amount of product expelled is not consistent. It would be a great product otherwise. Not sure how Aveda and Briogeo do it with similar packaging, but maybe it needs to be revisited
Not user friendly
I took a chance on this product hoping it would be better for my hair. I want to love this product, but its not easy to use and its not someyhing you can use in a hurry. The product takes forever to pump out of the bottle, it comes out white and makes my hair white no matter how much I brush it, and it leaves white residue like I have awful dandruff. If they could make a product for actual dark hair and a bottle that would pump out correctly I might repurchase, but for now this is an absolute no for me!!
