This refill fits into your existing Double Wear Matte Powder Foundation compact.
To insert refill: Remove used powder by lifting blue base to get underneath. Press base of powder with both thumbs until it pops out. Insert new refill. Snap into place.
Customize your coverage with the two-sided applicator:
- Use the sponge side to apply this medium to full coverage powder foundation all over face.
- Use the velvety side for softer coverage or targeted areas.

I wear 4W1 Honey Bronze in the liquid. I want to try the matte because of my oily skin. However all the comments about the new formula and the colors do not match correctly now. Has me worried. Should I get same kind? Have ya'll fixed the issues with the new formula?

I have been using Estée-Lauder for over 15 yrs, and have loved their double wear powder. I'm not sure why they changed the colors, now the shade I used for years is so Dark! It's so disappointing to see the majority of customers having the same issue, and yet, nothing is being done to fix this. I guess they want to continue to loose costumers.
Not recommended too pink and red

I boughtthis in person in order to get the best match. After finding color match with swatch from the display, I bought 4C1. Got home to use it the next day to find out the swatch on department store display does not match the "updated" formula I bought. The new formula is way too pinkish red, like a blush more than a foundation. Insane to display and swatch of old version while selling the new ones. I will have to return. No way they are going to have customers swatch an old formulation and buy the new, un-color matched ones. The old formula felt a lot nicer and more coverage too. Photo includes comparison before wearing and after wearing on back of hand on the same day at the same time under the same sunlight.

It took me years to find a foundation shade that finally worked with my coloring - Estee Lauder 2C1 Cool Beige. I have yellow and red in my skin tone but lean cool, not neutral. Can't wear warm shades, neutrals are gray on me, and most cool shades are too gray pink. 2C1 was perfect, at the Estee Lauder make up counter, they took one look at me and knew what shade to put me in. Now the new 2C1 is dark and orange, and nothing else works like the old formula shade did. Why did you mess up a good thing??!! Sadly and with much frustration, looking for a new brand.

I love this powder. I feel like it matches my skin tone and lasts all day. I don't like the little sponge it comes with, so I use my own sponge. I do wish it had SPF in it.
Too Cakey
I was expecting this to be alot more smooth, however it looked so cakey. I don't know if this is ANOTHER product that is only meant for younger skin, but this was terrible! I ONLY bought it because I have used the Double wear for almost 3 decades and like everything, they changed their perfect formula to the horrible formula it is now in which that too looks really bad. I bought this hoping it would make the double wear look better and all it did was make it look worse. Estee Lauder why are you changing everything to make it look worse. I am so disappointed, especially since now I have to find a new foundation and powder since Estee Lauder completely changed theirs and made theirs worse. And I have been using their same Double Wear for almost 3 decades. Why change something that was already perfect?
