Since this product is more about moisture & defining instead of hold, could this be used like a leave-in conditioner with a curl styling cream on top? Or should this be used as a styling cream?

It's silicone-free, activates, defines and enhances curl patterns and is recommended for 3A-4C hair. Details is not silicone-free and primarily provides moisture and definition with no hold. I just loved the Curl Fresh Definer that is still being reformulated (PLEASE BRING IT BACK SOON!) and in its absence I have tried myriad other products, AG and non. Details has become my best result in the interim. It doesn't make a strong cast, so for me that means that it doesn't hold all day, and I notice my curls getting frizzy and loosing definition as the day goes on (I get about 6 good hours of hold). I also need to use a bit more product than I'd like (closer to a half-dollar than a quarter on chin-length hair) so I go through it faster. But, compared to other products I've tried, it is light, does give my hair (temporary) good definition, and doesn't weigh my hair down or go sticky, so I'm sticking with it until the Definer comes back.
