dries hair well but hard to handle

I've had my Curlsmith dryer for a little over a year now, and I blow dry at least once a week so I've used it long enough to get a thorougj impression of it. I'll start off with my likes: I really like the lower heat settings on this dryer. Its hottest settings work well for hover diffusing, and t...he lower heat settings (medium and low) work great for touch diffusing. I get really springy curls by hover diffusing until around 75% dry on high heat, then touch diffusing the rest of the way by doing a few seconds of high heat, a few minutes of medium, then low, then cool shot. My hair is really healthy and I have no split ends or breakage when using this dryer. Now for what I don't like: the length of the nozzle is really long and I find it hard to hover diffuse or touch diffuse the back of my head with it. My head constantly knocks the diffuser off and it's overall not a comfortable position, no matter if I try to hold by the handle or nozzle. I went from a dyson supersonic to this, and the difference in nozzle length is such a hinderance to me where I'm at the point that I plan to replace it even though it still works fine. Next, the button placement is not ideal and the buttons toggle easily, meaning I accidentally change settings on myself every so often while trying to grip that huge hair dryer with its even larger diffuser. I've even accidentally hit the On button taking it out for use (multiple times) and startled myself (and my cat lol) when plugging it in. This has happened enough times that I always check the On button before plugging it in now. Lastly, I know it is celebrated by so many, but the huge diffuser just does not work well for my style curls. Because it is so big, I can't properly diffuse my curls for their springiest because I don't have enough control. Maybe that's a me problem, but I liked the smaller diffuser head on my dyson for that reason. Perhaps CS could offer the option of a smaller diffuser to resolve that issue for those like me. That said, my dyson died on me after not too much use, and their customer service is crap, so this is not my way of trying to sell their product over Curlsmith's. I would love this dryer so much more if its size was more manageable.
