This is said to be for tight curls, I have type 3B (big spiral curls when not damaged and moisturized), high porosity, thin, frizz monster hair...when I say frizz, I'm talking about so much frizz that when I wake up, half my hair is standing on end, when the wind blows, my hair stands on end, I go through a 1 oz bottle of argan oil in a week type of frizz. I also have an extremely sensitive scalp, contact dermatitis ( most shampoos dry my already dry, irritated scalp out more, but this moisturized and soothed it instead without stripping moisture and cleanimg gently)
and I'm so sensitive to scents that i will get migraines from the smell of anything other than a clean smell or a soft lotion scent. That is exactly what quidad is please never change the scents! I said goodbye to frizzy, breaking, dull, parched hair. Quidad has changed my hairs appearance and this is my holy grail line.
Now that I've been going natural with my hair, I'm always on the look out for a good brand to make my curls look good. So after reading some positive reviews I was pumped to try this out since my hair wasn't really liking the other shampoo/conditioner I was using, but sadly like some other reviews this brand isn't for me. Not only is it expensive but after shampooing and conditioning my hair felt crispy and dehydrated! Then what really sealed the coffin was that I woke up the next day with tons of mats and tangles :/

The shampoo performed well, but the scent is terrible. It smells like watermelon and is tacky.
I like elevated products. This is far from that. I will spend the extra bucks to get the experience that comes with Ouai, Davines, R andCo from here on out..

I hesitated before buying because this product is an expensive shampoo. I use it sparingly and it does make a difference in the way my hair looks.

I don't blow dry nor do I dye my hair. I use hair creams and sometime flexible styling hair sprays not related to this brand. With that said, with this shampoo I sometimes have to lather twice to really feel like I fully removed any hair products, other than that, this shampoo does lather well & has a soft smell to it. It's winter here at the moment and this shampoo is not helping with my winter dandruff, which it's okay, I scalp detox once a week & that helps for a while, not this brand either, but I'm mentioning it incase you think it helps moisturize your scalp. As for conditioner, I use a different brand too & thanks because I like how my conditioner defines my curls but unfortunately this other brand conditioner does not add volume, niece I'm done with what I have, I'll try the conditioner for Ouidad.

I was my hair every 2-3 days. Just a little goes along ways. Makes my hair shine, soft and the curls have body. Does not leave my hair greasy! You gotta try.
Pixie Dust from Dixie line
I have used this product three times so far and have noticed a slight improvement but I am not wowed by this product as of yet considering the steep price. I am transitioning from Redken All Soft which does not target curls but seems to be more moisturizing than this shampoo. I am using this line because it claims to give curls more definition. I do not like this shampoo smell, slightly mimics hair dye.

Was not a good product for my hair. I don't consider myself picky, but this made my hair feel dried out and non full and vibrant. Expensive and a major disappointment.
Yolimar from Rolling oaks
I have tried to deep conditioners from this brand and have absolutely loved them (will repurchase) but I the shampoo and conditioner from this specific line dried my hair out so bad it was matted. Took me 1.5 hr to fully detangle my hair and even then it still felt and looked super dry. Will never purchase again. I don't even want to finish it

If you have fine hair like me , try it with the rinse conditioner instead of the leave in . When I used the shampoo and leave in together , it took the wave right out of my hair . It was very soft tough (too soft)
I use a diff shamppo and their leave in and I LOVE it !

If you don't care whether a product is Curly Girl friendly then this is a good shampoo for you.
Frizz Nan from Reno .Nv
This product stripped my hair and left it a complete frizz mess
Brydie from IL
After first wash my hair felt like straw. I have a ton of fine curly hair and it was all matted together and full of knots after the first wash. I will continue to use it up because it's expensive but definitely won't be buying again. Very disappointed. Back to Curlsmith I go.

Quidad is perfect for any curly hair especially tight curls. In some cases in prevents you from having to buy extra products like curl definer because the shampoo and conditioner do it for you. I love it a lot but it's a little on the pricey side..

Need only a tiny amount to get the job done.
Chrise from Lady Lake, FL
It lightly lathers up and leaves my scalp feeling enriched. Love the way how soft my hair felt after.
PT from ca
left my fine 3A curly hair in a huge knot, very drying

My hair has NEVER been so dry, frizzy and sticky! Their mouse is great though.
Alejandra from Colorado
I like it because i have not found a product that is better but, I would like something a bit more moisturising. It's just that other products leave my hair greasy
Crazy hair from Kalispell MT
I gave it 2 stars just because Of how good it smells. Tried for the first time and almost instantly I could feel it drying my hair out. I really wanted this to work for me but it didn't. My hair wanted to mat up with the lather, when I rinsed the shampoo out I could feel the dryness.

Bought this thinking it had good ingredients, and I used it. After my normal hair routine, my hair dried and was super frizzy. Switching to Devacurl, but I've been using Shea Moisture for years with no issue. My hair is thick, and probably around 3c.

I recently changed over to using Ouidad. I have unruly curly/wavy hair. I classify it as 2C. After just 1 week my curls are more defined and reduced frizz. I also changed how i comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower. And I no longer use my Turbie Towel by twisting it up, I just ring out the hair to help keep the curl. So I know it isnt just the shampoo that is helping my curls. I have tried this method in the past with other shampoos/conditioners and nothing has helped my hair be as defined and less frizz as this product. I highly recommend this shampoo/conditioner. Along with a wide tooth comb and ringing out the hair not twisting it up. *I copy and pasted my review from the conditioner*
Laurie from Illinois
One use and my hair was crispy, tangly, and dry. Mind you I have completely healthy virgin hair and after this shampoo you would have sworn I bleached my hair. Returned it immediately.

Will not use again

Best product for curly hair.
Angie from Reseda
Smells amazing. Light weight yet cleans really well.

My hair was so damaged and I thought I ruined my curls. I have been looking for a product that promises to bring them back and had no luck. I decided to invest in this product just to try and WOW. I used this product twice and let air dry without any gel or mousse and my curls came back. I love this product!
