Blurring with Awesome Ingredients

I'm a sunscreen junkie. If I'm outside for more than 5 minutes between 11 AM-3 PM, you can bet I'm wearing sunscreen. The experience of this sunscreen is a highly pleasurable one - it goes on smoothly and blurs pores and minor fine lines. This would work wonderfully as a makeup primer since it has a... silicone-y slip to it. It did end up pilling when used on top of one of my vitamin c serums, but not the other. The scent is that of any typical sunscreen you'd find on the shelf. As a dry skin gal, this wasn't moisturizing enough for me to use in place of my moisturizer, but someone with oily or combo-oily skin will likely find it hydrating enough to not use a separate moisturizer. I wore this for 3 or 4 hours in the Miami sun at a food festival and it held up really well, even with light sweating.I did like the tube itself (it's a bit retro-feeling, also brings me back to the 90s). I'm a bit perplexed they had a big opportunity to call out some of the fantastic ingredients in the product (ceramide-NP, hyaluronic acid, and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1) but didn't. The only place you see those ingredients are in the ingredients section on the back of the plastic outer packaging (no ingredients listed on the tube itself). I've never come across a sunscreen with peptides, hyaluronic acid, AND ceramides, and I feel that ingredient call-outs belong on the packaging (especially in this instance). I love using peptides in my skincare for their anti-aging properties, hyaluronic acid for its plumping and hydrating properties, and ceramides because they protect and reinforce the skin barrier.Overall, this is a really nice sunscreen. Not having any ingredient call-outs anywhere on the packaging is a huge missed opportunity as far as marketing/consumer education goes. However, the fact that those ingredients are even part of this formula make it unique and set it apart from competitors. I would purchase this product again and recommend it to friends, particularly those who wear foundation regularly. **This review was collected as part of a promotion.
