Why is there isopropyl alcohol in this product? Wouldn't the alcohol tend to dry the hair?

Got complimentary from ouai - and overall nice conditioner for fine hair. I prefer the shampoo over the conditioner - while this conditioner worked great, I find a lot of conditioners work just as fine for me on the ends of my hair. I would give the shampoo a five star recommendation and this one just a three. It does work good and smells very nice, but I wasn't blown away.
