Not good for fine coily hair

I watched a video by Ouai talking about stripping the gimmicky labels and giving a straight forward shampoo and conditioner set that tackles the common issues of each hair texture. FYI: Hair texture (not to be confused with surface texture) is the size of the hair strand. They come in fine, medium a...nd coarse aka thick. I have Coily or kinky curly hair with fine strands and a thick density. Most moisturizing shampoos do not get my oily scalp clean. Also, many conditioners are just heavy and hard to run through my hair because of their thickness. I really don't want my conditioners to do anything but closing the cuticles after shampooing and allow me to detangle with a detangling brush. So I decided to purchase this because I have fine hair and these products have a reputation for smelling great. Unfortunately, there is not much good to say about these products. For starters, both the shampoo and the conditioner barely have a smell. Maybe my Ulta has old bottles or something. The leave-in is quite strong and smells nice. So I expected the same for the shampoo and conditioner. I'm so disappointed. Second, the conditioner was awful. It had no slip. It also made my hair feel very hard and very rough tectured when I rinsed it out. I think they mistakenly believe fine hair is automatically super silky and needs to be more textured and have grit for volume and to hold styles. This conditioner must be a volumizing one that plumps the strands or something, but my hair feels awful. It's also very tangly. My hair actually felt nice after I rinsed out the shampoo and I could still run my fingers through it. So the conditioner surprised me in a bad way. I think this is why so many people complain about this conditioner making their hair feel dry. Many people equate hard hair with dry hair and those are technically two different things. My hair is not dried out because the shampoo didn't feel stripping or squeaky. It's the conditioner all on its own. It's so bad that my hair is too tangled to style. I'm going to have to hop back in the shower and shampoo this stuff out of my hair. Im now too tired to do anything. I just hope this washes out and my hair goes back to normal. It really feels like I used an aggressive protein treatment that I didn't need and now my hair feels almost brittle. I'm almost afraid to try any of their other products.
