I work in a salon and have used many brands, that being said, I like Wella but there are better out there. The 10 volume developer mixed with the clear color cream does help give a slight glossy shine to the hair. But if you have over colored dry hair you're not going to see much of an improvement, ...

Help for Hair Colors!
Hair Type Wavy Hair
So I've always wanted red hair, just the bottom half, so I decided to get light copper. Warning: you MUST buy the color cream that it comes with! The dye was very creamy, I thought it wouldn't turn out well. Luckily it did. I got a little worried that it was going to be orange instead the red I requested, but they certainly delivered! I am quite pleased with this result, but I have a warning: I thought I would shave off a couple of cents by buying volume 20 color cream developer, but was I wrong. I googled it, make sure to use volume 10!! Any others would make the dye permanent, or ineffective. I was slightly worried about washing it, giving that I couldn't see a difference in my light brown/ copper blonde hair. Fortunately, I followed through, and it worked! You just gotta believe! I would suggest deeper colors (dark brown, black, red) for those who are brunettes, red for my black-haired friends, ashy blonde for blondies, and just generally all colors, but other blondes and light browns look the best. For red heads, maybe just do dark low-lights? Hope I helped! Loved this dye!!
Pulls dark- be causious
Bought 7A then 7N to try to tone some brassy highlights. The 7A looked nice, but faded quickly. The 7N pulled at least one shade darker and was more green tinted than the 7A for me. I cant speak for the other colors
disappointment
I used the 5N Lightest Neutral Brown with a 10 developer, but the result was closer to the darkest brown you can get. It did cover the gray, yet the color is so flat, I see no highlights at all. I'm going back to ion..
Love this
My roots were growing out. I didn't like the straight line of my natural color to colored hair. I did some research and it was recommended to use demi permanent (not permanent) since it was my 1st time attempting this smudge root technique. I used 5vv to blend my dirty blonde roots with some pink to purple ombre ive got going on and it worked great. I will definitely be buying this again. It was easy to mix and apply (ok, maybe not the back of my head but i used mirrors). I am also sensitive to smells so this was easier for me to handle in comparison to bleach.
Will not repurchase in anything except clear
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have purchased clear several times over the years for glossing. It works well. The brown shade I recently purchased didn't stay in my hair for two solid weeks. That's a record low for me. Most stay at least three. Save your $$.
