Does Pearl Blonde have any color tint to it or is it more of a toner? Will it stain white hair a pale cool blonde or will it just remove yellow tones in the white hair? Thanks!

- Q
I have highlighted hair that has become too blonde and too heavy. I don't want to highlight it anymore. I don't want to damage my hair by using a demi or permanent color as my hair is fine and I don't want to put any type of ammonia or peroxide on the ends. If I glaze it weekly, will I be able to tone it down so I can grow out my hair? What color would I use for to go to a dark blonde or a little red is fine too but I don't want to be "clown red" either. My hair currently is pretty light but not a platinum blonde light.

Turned highlights Darker
I received a bottle of Wella Professionals Color Fresh Mask Golden Gloss from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. I have medium brown hair with blonde highlights, so I was excited to get this product to keep them fresh. Unfortunately, the golden gloss pigment turned them darker, which was the...

Didn't notice a difference
my hair dresser recommended this to me in between appointments but i didn't notice any difference. i also don't like that it kind of smells like chocolate lol. it stains your hands and nails terribly and its awkward to use. i wash my hair in the shower with shampoo, then turn on the bath and comb the mask through my hair and let it sit. once its done i turn the shower back on. its just a lot. but i'm eager to try a different brand that shows better color results.
works well
when I was blonde I used to use the golden gloss and peach shade to tone my hair. the color always came out beautiful and the conditioner is so soft, you can def tell why this costs more. now I mix the espresso and caramel shade and color my roots with it because it's shockingly good at staining my greys and blending them in.
Copper or red?
I regret using this. I was expecting a rich copper refresh for my hair but instead i got firetruck red… my hair stylist is going to be mad at me. Dont buy if arent ok being a red head and not copper…
CRISIS. AVERTED. Forever indebted to Wella
I hired a new hair stylist to add caramel highlights to my dark brown hair. It seemed like a modest ask— I wasn't looking for a drastic change or anything. I just asked for dimension. I had brought in reference pictures and was looking forward to the appointment for months. As a single mom, I never spend money on myself. So it was a big deal for me. Well, 6+ hours later come to find out she bleached random sections of my hair to a LEVEL 9 PLATINUM BLONDE and my lengths felt like dry, coarse hay. I thanked her for the appointment and went home and cried. I had spent 2 years not adding heat or touching my hair so it could become healthy, and all of my work was thrown away in one sitting. 😭 Ya girl wasted no time. The next day, I scoured the internet and Google for solutions. I knew I wanted to go with a semi-permanent solution and not box dye to not further compromise the integrity of my hair. I came across this one, Glaze, Good Dye Young, the dpHue Gloss +, etc. and ultimately decided to try Chocolate Touch. I I couldn't find a lot of "after" images online of how much color the product deposited, so was nervous... But I just followed the directions and left it on for 10 minutes. I figured if it looked way too dark it would just wash out overtime. The end result was this elegant brunette color with this cinammon glow in the sun and is very flattering on my olive skin tone. It canceled out the horrible ashy toner the hair stylist put in my hair and created the effect of richness I was going for. I am so happy with the end result. The highlighted pieces of hair took differently than my non-bleached hair of course, but the blend is seamless and looks intentional. I was so impressed that a hair mask could do that. If you're in a similar situation as me with a botched dye job and are on the fence, just buy it! It is a bit pricy, not going to lie. But in my situation, it costed way less than going out and potentially repeating the process all over again with a new hair stylist.

This is a good product, but in my opinion it only lasted 1-3 days in my hair. After that the brassy tones started to showed up. Overall I use it for emergencies, an important event, because it does make you hair darker.
