Maybelline Cloudtopia Cheek and Lip Mousse

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Tried out 'Ethereal Rouge', which is a medium reddish tint. For my skin, it was a bit too red but also so pigmented! I would definitely use a lighter shade for my daily blush. For lips, I would recommend an applicator like a lip brush for easy application and cleaner lines, otherwise a lip liner would help! I didn't have a lip brush handy so I used my finger pad and a q-tip to keep edges as clean as possible. Beautiful, pigmented color. I topped with a clear gloss to try to retain moisture. My lips started out pretty dry and the color just made them more dry. The color held fairly well through drinks and dinner. Before and after pictures included. Edge got a little smudged but I did not notice blatant transfer onto drink glasses or straws. Solid color, just be sure to hydrate!

I received these complimentary products from Maybelline to sample and review. The colors I received are Ethereal Rouge and Pink Daydream. For my skin color, these do not work as a blush for me because they are too dark unless used in an extremely small amount and combined with foundation, but for my lips, it feels as if I'm using a powdery lip stain. It doesn't feel like I have much of anything on, but can still add a pop of color. It does not leave a residue on my teeth and it seems to last awhile. If I had a lighter shade, I would certainly use it as a blush.

This is such a great blush formula. You need such a small amount of product because it is very pigmented. It is very long lasting and you can thin it out to make it more of a natural look or you can be heavy handed for a very strong blush look.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I recently tried these lip and cheek mousse for the very first time, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. The texture is incredibly light, yet the pigment is strong — a little really goes a long way. It isn't sticky at all; in fact, once it's on, you barely feel it. I picked up shades #04 Pink Daydream and #02 Ethereal Rouge, and I absolutely love this combo. Pink Daydream is a vibrant hot pink, I used it on my cheeks and it looks beautiful on, while Ethereal Rouge is a deeper red-pink, and I used it on my lips. I applied both using my fingers, and they blended effortlessly. It does wash off easily and it does transfer, but overall, I'm impressed with the look, feel, and payoff. I'm glad I gave this formula a try — and I'd definitely reach for it again.
