FAQs
What is mousse blush?
Mousse blush is a type of blush characterized by its unique texture, which is often described as whipped, airy, and lightweight, almost like a cloud, that provides buildable, easy-to-blend color. This distinctive consistency makes it easy to blend seamlessly into the cheeks without weighing down skin or clogging pores. Mousse blushes can provide a variety of finishes, but Cloudtopia provides a soft matte finish, creating a diffused, natural-looking wash of color without any shimmer or excessive shine. Mousse blush is a great choice for those seeking a subtle and fresh appearance, but it can also be built up for a bolder, brighter look.
What is lip mousse?
Lip mousse is a whipped, creamy lip color known for its innovative texture and often buildable, pigmented color. Lip mousse glides on easily, usually providing a satin or blurred matte finish (like Cloudtopia) that diffuses color softly over the lips. Lip mousse is designed to feel cushiony and comfortable, like a soft cloud on your lips. Despite its lightweight feel, lip mousse delivers high pigment, and the formula is buildable, allowing you to easily intensify the shade to your desired look.
How is whipped mousse blush different from liquid, cream, or powder blush?
Whipped mousse blush stands out from other blush formulas due to its unique airy and lightweight texture. This whipped consistency makes it exceptionally easy to blend into the skin, offering a soft matte to velvety finish that looks diffused and natural. It provides a comfortable, breathable feel without emphasizing skin texture. Liquid Blush: Liquid blushes are fluid and often highly pigmented. They require quick blending as they can set rapidly, typically leaving a dewy, fresh, and vibrant finish. Cream Blush: Cream blushes are more emollient, often applied with fingers or a brush. They offer a creamy, blendable texture that melts into the skin, usually resulting in a dewy, natural, and radiant finish that mimics healthy skin. Powder Blush: Powder blushes, the most traditional form, have a finely milled texture. They are applied with a brush and are excellent for layering and building intensity. Powder blushes generally provide a matte or natural finish, offering good staying power, but can sometimes appear less seamless than cream or mousse if not blended meticulously. The key differentiator is often the finish: mousse blush like Cloudtopia provides a soft, velvety matte look, while liquid and cream blushes tend to offer a dewy, radiant, and fresh appearance. Powder blush can range from matte to a natural skin-like finish.
How do you apply mousse blush?
To apply mousse blush, simply use your fingertips. Mousse blush is very user-friendly due to its unique, whipped texture, which lends itself perfectly to finger application. Dab a small amount onto your fingertips. Start with a tiny dot on the apples of your cheeks for a youthful glow, or higher on the cheekbones for a more lifted appearance. Remember to start light; its buildable color means you can easily add more to achieve your desired intensity without overdoing it. Gently tap and blend the product into your skin using circular motions. Add more as needed to achieve your desired intensity. And that’s it! For more guidance on applying blush, check out our guide to Blush for Your Face Shape.
How do you apply lip mousse?
You can apply lip mousse with either your fingertips or a lip brush. With fingertips: Use your fingertips for a natural, diffused look, gently dabbing and pressing the color onto your lips. With a lip brush: A clean lip brush offers more precision, good for more pigmented looks. For a sheer wash of color, apply a thin layer and blot. To achieve a more full-coverage, vibrant effect, build up the color with additional layers, allowing each to set slightly before applying the next. The cushiony texture of lip mousse makes layering comfortable without feeling heavy.
Can mousse blush be used on my lips?
Yes, Cloudtopia Cheek & Lip Mousse can be used on your lips as well as on your cheeks. All colors are suitable for lip use.
Can I wear the same shade of Cloudtopia Cheek & Lip Mousse Blush on my lips and cheeks?

Best matte for lips and cheeks
I was a fan of Fwee, but I found it too dry on my lips, so I was looking for an alternative when I saw this. At the price point, I got one to try it out, and I'm glad I ended up getting it. I've only been using it for a day, and I hope the continuous use won't have the same effect as when I used Fwee.
Such a smooth application
Such a smooth and beautiful application, stays on all day. Lovely beautiful color. 10/10

A little goes a long way
I bought this in ethereal rouge with my own money and will probably be buying a few more. For lips I've found it's best to apply a small amount. Too much ends up building excess around the edges after a short time of wear. I've found it's best to lightly press one finger in, apply that to the bottom lip, press again for the top lip, then even out what's left between the same finger on my other hand and use it as blush. Then whatever is left from that goes on eyelids for a super soft wash of color. You truly don't need much product at all. I have pretty dry lips usually, and this is ok, but maybe slightly dry on its own. Too be expected for a matte. It takes Aquaphor on top very well once set and lasts for hours. To the point that I think this actually acts a bit like a stain. I like this way more than the multipurpose liquid stains though.
Super pigment
Be careful when you use this blush because it is super pigmented! When I used it for the first time I was super shocked with how much pigment it had. The tinniest bit goes a huge way. It's a pretty fuchsia color but it's not a good everyday blush because it's bold. This would be perfect for the summer! It does say it's for lips and cheeks but I don't not like it on my lips. It's way too chalky and feels weird on the lips. I also don't like matte lip products so that's also why I don't like it on the lips.

Cutesie
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Maybelline Cloudtopia Lip and Cheek blush felt velvety and lightweight. It was flawless on my cheeks, but i did feel like my lips were dry after using this on them.
