Use twice a day, morning and night. Lather between palms with tepid water. Massage all over damp skin to remove dirt and oil, and soften beard. Rinse well and towel dry. Mornings, shave as usual.

I noticed that the women's charcoal gel cleanser has been discontinued (very unhappy about that). I used it occasionally for breakouts. Is the men's charcoal cleanser comparable, or more harsh? I can't afford to dry my skin out too much.

If you have dry skin, sensitive skin, you are probably looking for something with a little more cushion for the skin. You may want to try Clinique's Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam. If the dryness you are experiencing is a tight and uncomfortable feeling, this will give the skin more comfort after cleansing. If it is flakiness that you see on the skin, there is a need for more exfoliation. All Clinique products are great for sensitive skin. They are all fragrance free and all allergy tested. We test each product on a panel of 600 people, 12 times each. That equals 7200 applications. If one person has any type of reaction, we reformulate. Husband love it
My husband is bald so this balances his head and face. No breakouts. No shine. Just a good clean. He does need a light moisturizer on his face after. It does leave him tight without it but he likes a moisturizer anyway.
Not a Huge a Help for Oil
I bought this product because I had seen where other women with oily skin conditions had bought this and had success and I love charcoal based products. I didn't have much luck with this. I wash my face in the morning and evening and by the time to wash it again rolled around it was always extremely oily. I'm even starting to have acne breakouts again.
