Better than the balm for me
I use this to mix with my night cream that doesn't spread well. I love the cream but it's much better mixed with this gel for my combination skin. I put a dollop of the cream in with a few circles of this gel and mix in my palm. It helps the cream spread better and provides barrier protection since I use strong actives 4-5 nights a week.
This is my holy grail, but not for what you think.

The texture of the Cicaplast gel is soothing and lovely. I really love the feel of the formula. It's very effective at keeping your skin moist, so I like to slather it on my hands before bedtime. It's pricy but still a good value for your money!
Burned and broke me out
Sensitive, dry/normal skin. I applied it around my eyes before bed. It burned on application, and my eyelids were red the next day. The next night I applied it to my face (avoiding my eyes) and woke up with three pimples. I haven't had pimples in years.
