Mixed feelings
I LOVE this applicator. I'm able to do the best ever Cupid's bow with it. Very defined. And the color definitely stays. I can apply once and just use a balm for moisture the rest of the day. Not sure why so many negative comments. I have had great experience. It flows on well and the colors are great. I own this in 5 different shades. It is a bit of a learing curve to figure out the best way to apply. I cover my bottom lip then blot to my upper lip. Works great.

The shape of the marker makes use very easy. Even for someone with some moderate motor difficulties in their hands like me. Color can be worn as is or wiped down with a wet towel for a slightly less bold look. Beautiful either way. It does feather a small amount on the lips but I just overline a tiny bit and that seems to help. A clear or appropriate colored lip liner would probably also help.
Awkward application tip
I cannot recommend this long lasting lip stain because the stain tip does not follow your lip line easily.

Gorgeous color - great staining, but the application is so not great! Goes on very dry and is hard to apply to upper lip of applicator is felt tip pounting up. It just doesnt flow out very well. Would love so much more if it applied easier!!

Not sure what some poeple are complaining about. This lip stain STAYS PUT! IT STAIIIIIINS!!! Almost have to scrub it off. The color Alexandria looks beautiful with blue eyes (and a bit of an early spring tan with freckles). I exfoliated my lips beforehand FYI. Didnt need a touch up for a solid 8 hrs, drinking and eating. WOW. Getting more colors. Finally a lip product that my hair doesnt stick to!!!!!!! Run, dont walk.
