Wet brush bristles with warm water. Swirl bristles directly onto soaps surface, working into a lather. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Lay brush flat to dry. After use, lightly rinse the top of the soap. Leave lid off, allowing soap to dry.

Went through a whole pot and didn't get clean brushes
Tried this instead of the elf Clean Queen solid brush cleaner and was deeply disappointed. I went through an entire container for one clean of my brushes (~40) and they weren't fully clean. It didn't make it's way deep into the fibers or break apart my cream products well. I needed to supplement with a liquid cleanser to get my foundation brush clean. In comparison, I re-bought the elf solid soap and cleaned all my brushes without a dent in the pot. For the cost and potential to have to get a new one for my weekly clean, the Ulta solid soap isn't worth it.
Works good
I've been using this product for 4 months and it has worked perfectly fine for me the whole time. If you know how to use a cleaner like this and know that it needs to completely dry before you put the lid back on and store it away after cleaning then it won't grow mold. It has a great smell and hasn't hurt my brushes at all. If you're looking for a basic cleaner that's affordable and works well this is it. If you can't read and follow directions do not buy it.
