Great scrunchies

I have waist long grey hair. Or white it's debatable of course:))) Anyway for some reason my old method of pony tail at nape of neck then flip up and over and pin in place just doesn't work these days. Hair is more fragile for one and seems maybe more frizzy too. Dang those older lady changes. Meant...ime I love my hair long. I flip from long to short at a sneeze ok it's a long sneeze as it takes around 18 to 20 months to get to waist length again starting from a pixie cut. My hair GROWS fast even at my age. So I wanted to try some pins that might be kinder to my hair and hurt my head less too. I'm also allergic to a lot of metals and if it contains nickel sooner not later I'll have hives. So I thought if this has any sign of metal allergies I would just spray it with some acrylic spray paint in clear and see if that helps. Sometimes it does actually. But not always. So after reading some reviews of cheaper ones where the ends are rough or not coated smooth I decided with my hair it made sense to choose wiser and go with the bit more expensive versions. I think they will work. I say that because I've used a vew weeks now and not sure I like them or not. I have yet to get the full knack of catching bits of my hair into these instead of my older method where I just pinned four pins two super long bobbies in each side of the flipped up tail that then allowed the rest to hang back down. An S curve kind of might exlpain that. Also I think the more I work with these the more it might work better with shorter hair. So I may cut off about 6 inches and try that. If it's too short though it won't fit into a pony tail and strings or wisps if you will get out and attack my face all day long. So that is why I go with super short or super long. In between somethings always annoying me. I also hate bangs. But I have to give them 5 stars for staying in pretty much. I haven't lost one yet. I take them out at night of course. And only put them back in morning after good brushing or shower. I usually let my hair dry with some pinning up and have yet to try these with wet hair. I will soon though I just usually am in a hurry and don't have time to play with them and reach for the usual. I don't blow dry my hair it's too fragile and always has been. My hair has always been natural curly to frizzy and it's more frizzy with aging hair than curly. Life it's a compromise and thank goodness I am happy to meet it's challenges and compromise..on some things anyway:))) I am not sure longer pins would make a difference though I read they do make them. If I lose a few I would consider buying another pack of these and may to insure I have spares in case that happens. I can't get a messy bun out of these yet as that's me not the pins fault. Like I said at the start I haven't got the knack down just yet. In time perhaps.
