Q&A

Showing 5 out of 9 Questions
Q
Would this be a good alternative for a combination of tret and azelic acid on oily to combo skin?
Asked by Makeup Lover
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Thank you so much for your question! These products/ingredients all actually have very different benefits, so Bakuchiol would not be an adequate alternative. The Bakuchiol Oil Blend for Oily Skin focuses mostly on anti-aging benefits and loss of elasticity. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Is this product noncomedogenic?
Asked by Kayla
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Hi! We definitely understand your concerns with the products' potential to clog pores. However, we’re hesitant about applying the non-comedogenic label to our products since there is no universal and agreed upon guideline. Comedogenic scales often vary depending on the source. When an ingredient is tested in a lab to determine the comedogenic capability, it is done in a rabbit's ear which is much more sensitive than human skin. Individual skin chemistry can determine the extent of an ingredient’s ability to clog pores, so it is highly variable between people. As such, the only way to be certain is to actually try out the product. The same ingredient when used in a different concentration or within a different formulation will vary as far as being comedogenic or not.Was this answer helpful to you

I had been using a regular retinol which was okay but I was over the 'burn' of redness the next day. Also, I would get a random deep cystic pimple and that's not okay. I have an oily t-zone and combination and sensitive skin and I was hesitant to try an oil, but I knew Bakuchiol would be more gentle...

I like it...

I tried this because I am VERY sensitive to retinol and I have VERY oily skin. Overall, I like it - with a few caveats. I only use it at night (and not always every night): it's too oily for you me to wear during the day under makeup AND I am still a bit sensitive, so I'm cautious. I use it as sug...

So great for making skin smooth and clear. My pores looked smooth within 2 uses. My oily, sensitive skin LOVES it! I will keep purchasing each time I run out!

I just tried this tonight. Did the routine. Cleanse. Tone. OIL. Moisturize. It notes to let it soak in before proceeding with your moisturizer. I tried. After 20 minutes of gagging and waiting for it to sink in, i gave up and did my moisturizer. Absolutely will never use this again.

Does as Described (F24OilySensitiveSkin)

As stated it's intended to improve fine lines and firmness without compromising us oily folks. I can say it DID do its job and lasted me about 3 1/2 months. My skin is oily, sensitive, and not acne prone--nothing too special. Used for my pm routine. Would buy again.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I usually love Good Molecules products, but this oil is old. I cook and know what oil that has gone bad smells like. Maybe it wasn't sealed correctly.

I would not buy this product again

I was informed by store employee this product would be good for my combination skin and would not leave my skin oily. This product had zero absorption and just laid on top of skin. My face was completely oily.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
