Q
Your answer to "Can this product be used in the same routine as the 2% salisylic acid serum?" was "not in the same regimen." Does that mean I can use salicylic acid in the morning and this product at night, or vice versa? Or does it mean I should not use this product at all if I plan to continue using the 2% salicylic acid serum?
Asked by ABC
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hey there! So sorry for any confusion. Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA may be used together in the same regimen as Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA has no conflicts. We believe the question you're referring to was for Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can i use this product with the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum?
Asked by Missy
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hey there! Yes, we recommend using Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 first, followed by Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Should I apply this product all over my face or use it like a spot treatment on blemishes?
Asked by I
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
You can apply this all over the face or as a spot treatment, depending on what suits your skin best. You may also want to explore the Salicylic Acid 2% Masque as another option for full-face or targeted blemish treatment. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does textual irregularities include KP, keratosis pilaris?
Asked by PositiveBroccoli
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Keratosis Pilaris (sometimes referred to as KP or strawberry skin) is characterized by rough and bumpy skin and can show up in places like the arms and legs. A combination of exfoliation and hydration can help target the feel of rough and bumpy skin. We recommend applying Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner to exfoliate the skin, followed by Natural Moisturizing Factors + Inulin to provide all-day continuous moisture. Please note that we do not recommend applying this product to broken or irritation skin, or covered areas such as the inner thighs or underarms. None of our products can be considered medical treatments for persistent skin concerns. If you are experiencing extensive or persistent skin conditions, please consult your doctor or dermatologist. <3Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this product also be used to treat old bug bite scars and old acne scars?
Asked by Sofia
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA can minimie the appearance of dark spots and brighten. It has been tested for use on the face/neck only. Please note this product has not been tested to treat bug bite scars. For post-acne marks, we recommend Aloe 2% + NAG 2% Solution. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

Great for rosacea and acne

Submitted 4 days ago

By Mallory

From Texarkana, Texas

This product really helps keep my rosacea in check and my acne at bay. If I ever manage to not use it, I always regret it the next day. This is a must have for us folks with easily reddened skin.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Great for my aging skin

I'm in my mid-40s w/ combo normal/oily skin in summertime, combo dry/normal skin in wintertime. This stuff saves my skin during the winter. During the summer I don't really use it, since our summers are super humid and HOT. That said, I can see how it could be too much for younger skin or oily skin, but for me, its really saves my skin seasonally!

It's okay

This works really well and definitely did brighten up my skin and clear my acne, however i would only recommend this if you want to use it at night. This pills SO BAD if you try to put anything other than moisturizer over it! It has a very silicone-like texture and can be drying if you don't follow up with moisturizer. I find it best to wait about 15 minutes for it to soak in before moisturizing.

Bad experience

By Jamie

From Texas

I used this product every evening. I figured it would be safe after reading the instructions. After only a couple of uses, my skin was red, irritated, and covered in acne. I thought it was just purging, but it never stopped. I had stop using.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not what it used to be

This used to be my #1 product in my skin care routine. I used to swear by it. I noticed the bottle changed last time i purchased it but the serum seems to have changed as well. It used to be odorless and now it has a strong fishy smell. I pushed passed the smell and used it anyway but it hasnt had any effect on my skin. It's definitely not the same product. What a shame.
