Straightening from wet:
• Start with towel-dried hair and select Wet mode. Select maximum airflow and high temperature.
• Lock arms and rough dry the roots.
• Once roots are dry, unlock arms and select desired airflow and temperature. Straighten and style damp hair in sections.
Straightening from dry:
• Select Dry mode to touch-up or refresh your style. Select desired airflow and temperature, Boost mode is available if required.
• Straighten hair in sections.

Never Received - Terrible Customer Service
If I could give zero stars, in fact, minus five stars, I would. Truly the most awful customer service I have ever received. I ordered the straightener on December 24th along with a vacuum. The Vacuum came within a week, the straightener never showed up. I chatted with my first customer service agent...

Not worth the price
Okay, I spent ages watching video reviews and researching it and all the other options and then finally decided to pull the trigger when they had the dyson coupon. However, I ended up returning it because it left my hair straight but frizzy. In the end, it looked like a blow dry and I would have had to use a flat iron to smooth the flyaways yet it took way longer than actually blow drying. I couldn't justify the cost and time. I've seen videos where they didnt have frizz but maybe it's my coarse hair type. I have fine asian hair and I have some light breakage because I swim. Had to share in case any other Asian girlies are considering it. Technical reviews if anyone else is interested: it's not as loud as a hair dryer and despite the size, it's light and easy to use. I wanted to love it so much!
Buy it
If you have long hair, especially long hair with extensions, it will cut your styling time by hours. Looks like I just walked out of the salon. The only negative is that the cord is kind of heavy, so I'm worried it wont be very travel friendly. Otherwise, Im so happy with it.
Not for curly thick hair
My husband gave me as a gift so that is why I did not return it. It doesn't dry the roots as well the lengths, it leaves hair pencil point and I have the use the curling iron after. The cord has a Box attached to it, is heavy and tangles. I believe is very good for straight or wavy hair, it leaves hair shiny. It is way too expensive compared to other tools.
Straight but frizzy
It leaves my naturally smooth hair frizzy! Baby hairs looking like some cactus or succulent, dryness visible at first use despite using thermo protectors. It also took much longer to dry my hair vs with a regular dryer and round brush. I have mid lengths fine hair and this Dyson didn't work at all for a busy mom like me. I can be using dryer and then another one to straighten my semi-dry hair. It was supposed to reduce steps not add. I returned.

it works very well! It is a bit heavy and the cord is bulky, but it does a good job of straightening the hair. my hair feels significantly healthier than it did before using this to dry my hair.
