OK But Not My First Choice

I was excited to try this product and after 2 weeks of daily use in the morning and at night, applying 15 minutes before I used moisturizer, the only noticible difference from my normal serum was the skin around my eyes felt a liitle bit smoother and tighter. First thing I noticed when using is that... it was unlike any serum I have used before. It was thicker and almost a 'creamy' consistency where you could not do 'clean' drops, more of a dribble and runny kind of thing. That was unexpected but I was able to apply it similarly to others I have used (I add drops to my palm, put my other palm over it and then spread both across my face from outside in, and from the bottom up). It has an interesting scent, kind of like a hint of 'soft, fuzzy orange' and that was a plus to me. It absorbed quickly and did not make my face feel sticky or oily after applying. It was not as smooth a process in putting the dropper back in the bottle as I would like, had to make sure it was aligned correctly when putting it back in, and to me it should be an easier process. Not sure if I received a full bottle as in 2 weeks I seemed to go through most of it, my normal serum bottle lasts me about 4 months for 1.5 oz vs this 1oz which probably won't even make it 1 month. I use 2 drops of my usual serum 2 times a day and found after trying 4 drops and then 3 drops of this that 2 drops of this was more than enough for each use as well. I would suggest trying less than the recommended drops to see if it is enough for you when using to not have to go through it so quickly and wasting any more than you need to per use. A bit concerned with what I see as a tad of greenwashing by claiming the packaging and bottle are recyclable. That may be the case but not easily, and could be made with packaging that anyone could easily recycle nstead. I see no reason the packaging could not be made from recycled materials in addition to being made easy to recycle. Plus that extra unneeded space in the box with a divider is just so wasteful, I'd like to see them figure out a way to put all the info they need on the box and make it smaller and less waste full packaging. Overall I was glad to try it as I use L'oreal Paris Age Perfect Rosey Tone Moisturizer (both the day one and night one, which I recommend trying as I really like those and are my regular moisturizers) and thought this serum was fine but prefer my usual brand that I purchase from a small independent maker as it seems a better value overall for pretty much the same results (with less wasteful packaging, cleaner and neater drops, and easy dropper return to bottle process as well).
