Begin with dry detangled hair. Divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way. Then divide the bottom half into 1-2'' sections to begin styling. Hold the wand over your head with the tip pointing downward and wrap a section of hair around the barrel. Finish with the end of the section against the barrel tip. Hold for a few seconds then slide the wand out to release the wave.

Be Extremely Careful
I purchased this curling wand for my sister for christmas. It does an okay job on curling your hair. I borrowed my sisters curling wand because mine broke. Her curling wand the heat wasnt even. It ended up severely burning my hand. I spent a friday night in emergency being treated for severe burns....

Not worth it
Ive never had a hair tool make my lights flicker (and I have half a dozen). It doesnt hold curl
Best curling iron I've tried!
I have very long, deceptively thick hair. Usually it takes about an hour for my trusty old curling wand (emphasis on OLD) and I to get a result im happy with. I tried this and was able to curl my whole head in less than 15 minutes! I only regret not updating sooner - I could've saved myself so much time!!
It works, but not worth the money
it off after a few hours, I feel like any modern day tool should have that. The hair doesn't fall easily off the barrel and gets caught in the cool tip, so pieces come out messed up or frizzy. It takes me longer to get ready because I'm redoing pieces I've already done, and then the curls don't hold all day either. I've only used curling wands for 15 years, and never had these issues with others. And if I'm paying close to $100, i expect more.
Would never buy this again
Do yourself a favor and dont buy this wand. 1. I've been curling my hair forever and this is the only wand I've ever used that ends up burning you without fail. 2. The stand is useless because the barrel is too heavy for it. It tips over. I had to buy a silicone mat for it— otherwise I would've burned my countertop. 3. You need to keep the hair wrapped around the barrel for atleast a full minute to get it to actually give you any type of curl. Even then, the curls don't last. 4. The curling wand handle gets hot. Be forewarned. My 10 year old $30 curling iron works better than this.
Good wand
I am not sure why there are so mang negative comments about this wamd. It heats up well and I like that i could get it in 3/4 inch
