Pretty Good Stuff

It shouldn't be hard to find a decent high SPF mineral lip balm, but I looked high and low before stumbling onto this one. The few I found that weren't chemical SPF were drying, gritty, super expensive and / or tinted (that last one can be a plus or a minus). This lip balm is simple in both form a...

Super drying "balm"

Read a sponsored review so I purchased this balm. It is super drying and makes your lips crack and red. I used it for 2 days thinking that maybe my lips were just overly dry and I needed to reapply....I usually use Soft lips or Aquafor. I had to use Aquafor on my lips for 3 additional application...

My favorite sun block!

Submitted 7 days ago

By Diane

From Pittsburgh, PA

I am prone to cold sores from the sun, and struggled to find a sun block lip balm that worked, felt like it didn't disappear and didn't have a bad aftertaste. This product stays on and has some substance to it, but not uncomfortably so. It does not wear off right away. It doesn't taste bad and smells good! It's the only one I use now.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Gritty texture

Submitted 2 months ago

By Lauren

From Atlanta

I've been spot-testing on my arm for a few days to check for rashes (highly sensitive skin) and so far, all clear. Today I tried it on my lips for the first time, to discover it's gritty! It kind of smooths out if I run my finger across to blend, but I think lip balm should be easier to use than that. Disappointing. The search for affordable, cruelty-free, no scent, no taste, no parabens lip with SPF continues.

Gritty, White Cast

Submitted 2 months ago

This lip balm is good because its a mineral subscreen which is better for the reef and ocean, BUT it is veey gritty and leaves a slight white cast on darker skin. I don't care for the texture at all.

My go to SPF lip balm

It's the only SPF lip balm I've liked so far. No weird flavor, simple, and unscented. Just does the job. I haven't noticed a whitecast but my lips are pale.
