Most Helpful Positive Review Ultimate HG cleanser Skin 'profile': aged, reaction prone/allergic, oily/dehydrated, with 2 medical skin conditions that this does not irritate. IMO, it is suitable for all skin types. Cosdna ingredients list is totally clean. If you want in depth info on this product, intragoogle it on Snow White and the Asian Pear, which fully tests/compares/ evaluates AB/KB products. Cleansers wash away, fact. The bha in this is not sufficient to exfoliate...but it does restore the acid mantle, so that the rest of the routine is most effective. Your exfoliation comes from the leave-on products, like Cosrx blackhead power liquid. (Available on Ulta.) This cleanses effectively without stripping, leaves no residue, and softens mildly. Its core benefit is as a phenomenal prep for other products. Cosrx tends to be consonant with 'Paula principles,' that is no irritating fragrance and no alcohol. The 'Good morning' does not mean it is only an AM cleanser, but you will wish to use micellar or oil cleanse for the m/u at night. Just received a 24 piece anniversary goody bag. None of the cleansers (Bliss, Badescue, Dermalogica) remotely compare to the Cosrx. Another key point is that the size lasts forever, so it is incredibly cost effective. If you are adventurous or easily bored with skincare, and want to be on to the next best thing, this may be too much product for you. My first tube was from Memebox, which Ulta is now partially representing, and I had to get the second tube elsewhere online...but Ulta listens (I have touted this product in other user reviews) and now carries this first rate and cost effective product. Thrilled that Ulta is expanding Cosrx. This will be a forever repurchase.
Most Helpful Critical Review Dried My Skin Out I was really excited to try this cleanser after I researched the ingredients, and I gave it the stars I did because of all the good ingredients, but I've found myself very disappointed with the result. When I used this for the first week, i found my skin feeling uncomfortable (a little bit stripped in a way that felt sticky, but when i touched my skin it felt soft and clean) until I used my toner. The next week I started to feel my skin getting drier and drier in my t zone, mainly on my cheeks near my nose and in between my eye brows. Most recently, when I used the cleanser before a clay mask, I had a severe reaction and those areas completely dried out. That made me decide to stop using the cleanser. This cleanser also lathers very intensely and at times is even foaming, which I didn't expect. I think this contributes to the drying and it makes washing the cleanser off very difficult. With more moisturizing cleansers I'm able to use a good amount and be able to wash it off just fine, but with this even when I used less pea sized amount it took me a very long time to get rid of all of the bubbles.

I got this cleanser in the acne sampler pack and I was really hesitant to try it. I'm 25 and have always had acne. I have very sensitive, oily-combination skin. I was using only CeraVe products and while they did fine it was not preventing breakouts. This is the first cleanser I've used where I haven't had a single new breakout in the week I've used it. It does leave my skin feeling just a smidge tight if I let my skin dry before applying toner, but my skin seems to love it. It is foaming but it is pretty gentle, I don't feel a tingle or sting. There is that tea tree oil scent but it does not linger. Buying the full sized bottle now!!
Best cleanser ever used 5

Using this cleanser for more than a month now. At first I didn't liked the smell of it. It is has some kinda chemical smell, which only lasts for 4-5 seconds.. But it made my skin so soft after the first wash.. Loving my skin after washing my face.. this is my first product from this brand.. looking forward to try more..
Amazing cleanser! 5

Great price, not stripping, and really lovely light smell!
Wanted to love but didn't 1

I purchased this product because I was looking for an everyday gentle cleanser but unfortunately when I use this cleanser it leaves my skin feeling tight and I immediately get tiny breakouts. I've used multiple times different weeks and still the breakouts pop up as soon as I use this. I tend to have acne prone skin so my skin just may react differently to this.
Broke Me Out 1
Julia from Michigan
I was so excited to try this cleanser. Unfortunately after a few uses I ended up with dry and broken out skin. After a trip to the dermatologist I found that this threw my moisture barrier and microbiome off so bad that I had to go on an oral medication to cure it.
Loving this cleanser 5
Jenn from Long Island NY
I use this in the all times of the day morning, after my workout, and before bed. It hasn't left my skin feel tight and dry.
It does have a slight scent and that scent is tea tree oil which I never was crazy about but it's growing on me
The tea tree oil is an ingredient but it's very low on ingredient list so it's not that typical overwhelming scent
Holy grail cleanser! 5

This cleanser came highly recommended from a friend I TRUST, & from its great score on the ThinkDirty app.
I have slightly sensitive combination/more on the oily side skin. I use this in the AM & as my 2nd cleanser for PM after a balm. My boyfriend, who has very oily skin, uses it AM/PM as well.
You only need a pea size amount & lathers so well! One tube lasted us both 4/5months, with all 4 uses daily!
I use this in combination with a few other COSRX products (AHA/BHA toner, hylauronic essence, oil-free moisturizing lotion) & my skin is @ it's best.
On the second tube now & still loving it! :o)

Gentle staple to morning routine 5

My skin: oily, not sensitive, not very acne-prone but sometimes get 1-2 pimples if I haven't washed my face or changed my pillowcase after 2ish days. (Nasty, I know, but I'm home most of the time now because of covid.)
I've gone through two tubes of this cleanser because it's consistently good for my skin. I think its pretty basic as a cleanser but that can be good depending on your skin needs. My face feels clean and supple after every wash--not stripping at all. And I mean, like, really supple. I use a salicylic cleanser for my PM routine but will use this one if I plan to use TO mask that night. The smell was weird at first but you get used to it (and my sister says it smells exactly like her tea tree oil. I wouldn't know but yeah). Lastly, amazing value: one tube lasts me at least four months because you really don't need a lot for it to foam up (I squeeze out half to 3/4 an inch per use). Totally recommend, even for sensitive peepers.
Not For Me 3

I really wanted to like this cleanser cause I love COSRX, but it just was not what I was expecting at all. I've never used a gel cleanser that foams up before so that was a surprise when I tried it. It also smells AWFUL. I'm so glad I got the sampler kit so I didn't end up with a regular size product that I would feel guilty for not using. It left my skin feeling tight and dry the one time I've used it. I also formed a cystic acne spot which I haven't had in a long time and this was the only new product that could have caused it. I have oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin and COSRX usually does it for me, but this was a major disappointment.
Red, Irritated, Itchy! 1
Mosacha from Florida
I really wanted to love this cleanser as it has gotten great reviews on many sites. But everytime I use it, my skin starts to get red and splotchy and starts to itch. I thought at first it was due to me using it while on a beach vacation. But I've tried it a 2nd and 3rd time since and still getting the same reaction. Another note, this cleanser smells horrible! Thankfully it wasn't too expensive so don't feel bad about not using.
This is a DO NOT purchase. 3
Tink from Portland, Maine
I have combo, sensitive skin. I get breakouts during my period, and large pores, but generally pretty okay. I've been incorporating new products into my routine and this is a HARD no. It immediately dried my skin out - flaky and dull after three washes. I have some enormous, painful pimples from this face wash, that will take awhile for my skin to heal from. I'm planning on returning it, because I wouldn't gift this to my worse enemy.
Very good morning cleanser 5
Fal from Hot and Humid climate
I use a lot of heavy moisturizing products at night and this does a deep clean without stripping my skin.
My Holy Grail? 5
Jessie from State College, PA
I am kind of a skincare junkie, so I try out a lot of cleansers. I tried this one a couple of years ago when I was really just getting into skincare. I liked that it was low pH and foamed up, but that was about it. It didn't hit me until recently that this has always been my old reliable cleanser, my best friend that I didn't realize I was in love with until halfway through the movie. Regardless of how many I try, I always end up coming back to this one. I have never been without a tube of this stuff. It's my ol' faithful. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, and it works for me, no matter what season it is or what my skin is going through. It's seen my try out retinols and vitamin C, and it's still the cleanser I repurchase again and again.
Another Holy Grail 5
Dennis from NY
After reading some comments and doing some diligent research on this product, I was a bit skeptical to give it a try. Since my other morning cleanser the Neogen Fresh Foam Green Tea cleanser started to strip my skin, I opted in for this. Let me tell you, how much this changed my life! I'm already on my third bottle. Just wanted to make this clear to anyone that is reading reviews. Everyone's skin is different, and once you begin to use a new product. Your skin will start purging it self. But don't mix this up with your skin having a bad reaction.
Nonetheless, I love that this cleanser has a low PH level. It's super skin barrier friendly, and the best part to this is, it's fragrance free. The only essential oil, is basically Tea Tree, which make up for it's slight scent, which is amazing. Since some cleanser's have just an over powering aroma.
Favorite cleanser 5
Queen the Bean from Arlington, TX
I love this cleanser, I got my first one from Soko glam but it's always sold out on there so I decided to buy my next two from ulta. This cleanser along with my other skincare products has literally saved my skin. Being stuck at home has caused me to be really stressed out which has led to more breakouts. This has been a life saver and I will continue to purchase as long as it is available.

I bought this in the mini version to try out , the smell was absolutely horrid , it worked but not as well as my other morning cleansers I've used before which was a shame .... I really wanted to like it

Holy grail cleanser 5
Lindsey from Indiana
I have very oily skin and this has been my go-to cleanser for several years. It use in the evenings after using an oil/balm to remove my makeup and sunscreen, and it thoroughly cleanses without stripping or overdrying (you can overstrip even oily skin!). I love it!
Best cleanser I've ever tried 5
oski from Florida
Been doing skincare for 5 years now and have gone through so many cleansers, cheap and expensive. This is by far the best one I've ever tried. I have oily skin and this is just so perfect. It cleanses without drying out my skin and smells great, and I just love how nice it looks on my counter too :) highly recommend!
Does its job 4
KIKI from PENNSYLVANIA
I ordered this with the CosRX snail cream. I will say it does a really good job of cleaning my skin in the morning, it doesn't leave me feeling tight or dry. In fact, my skin looks very even and glowy after I rinse.
Decent leather. I haven't tried to use this after wearing makeup yet, but I can tell it'll give a good thorough clean after a makeup remover.
Go-to Basic Cleanser 4
Alkanora from Cali
Love this as a second cleanse after a cleansing oil/balm. Feels gentle on my skin, I have dry/combo skin and I don't find it stripping or harsh.
Did not work for me 1
Aly from Los Angeles CA
I have oily and acne prone skin. I wanted to try this cleanser since many people were raving on how its so good for oily skin. So i tried it for 6 months and it fried out my face. I'm pretty sure it contributed to blackheads on my cheeks. It did leave my face feeling smooth but made me really dry. Maybe i was not using it correctly but it did not work for me.
Was Looking For A Morning/Gentle Cleanser and..... 5
Maya from USA
It gets the job done! Didn't expect it to lather but it does. It does have a stronger smell but nothing unbearable. If you are looking for something that will leave your skin refreshed and a little less dry then this probably wont be for you. I personally am content with the feeling as I have a good moisturizer. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a gentle cleanser (:
I like it! 5

I use this in the shower or at my sink. I get my face wet, get it on my hands, and go at it. I really like this product! It's easy to use and has really helped my skin improve! I have less breakouts than I used to which is great!
