Most Helpful Positive Review Goes the Distance
I got this in white, as it was the only white eyeliner I've been able to find. I use this in my waterline to help brighten my eyes a bit. This stuff really goes the distance. i put it on at 8 AA and when i go to bed at 11 PM it's still on. You don't have to go over the area again and again to get it on nicely, I go over the waterline once or twice and it's bold. I've tried pretty much every liner out there and this is the one I'm sticking with.
Most Helpful Critical Review smug and transfer
The consistency and glides on easily but this product is not for me. I have watery eyes and the liner stay about few minutes on my eyes and then starts transferring all over. It just doesn't stick to the skin. I have tried smolder and Teddy. Both colors have same issues. It just transfer like crazy on watery eyes. Since, smolder is every intense black shade. It makes it even worse to wear.
Anyways a great product but not for everybody.

Goes on smooth

I love the product and am a huge fan of Mac. I got the color black and I was beautiful, but if you are going to by this go ahead and by a eyeliner sharpener. I bought it and it needed to be sharper for me to get those thin lines. Overall a beautiful product!
I would buy again

I link the pencil eyeliner
Terrible, I will not buy this again.
Dissapointed from TX
I'm a fan of this line but I absolutely hated this eye liner. I cannot believe how poorly this performs. Literally melts all over, will not stay in place, and even while you are putting it on the fall out is horrible.
Decline in quality
HT from Brooklyn
This has been my go-to eyeliner for years now. The past 4 eye kohl pencils that I've purchased have not only had major delays in shipping, but more importantly have simply not been the same product. The quality has really gone out the window and I couldn't be more disappointed because I thought I'd found a reliable product. Seemingly at the same time as the price increased, the eye kohl pencils that arrived came incredibly breakable, more greasy, and impossible to sharpen. After I reached out to a MAC representative to inquire as to whether or not the formula had changed, they said that it hadn't. In that case I am so curious about what could be causing the difference - change in warehouse storage method? Change in shipping speed method that affects the product? I don't know. What I do know is that I can not afford to waste any more of my money on this trash.
Best Eye Liner

Great color, easy to control when applying - looks fabulous!
Great color and texture, but not smudge-proof
ButtercupTX from Houston, TX
The colors are pigmented, and it goes on very smoothly, like butter. However, it is not smudge-proof or waterproof. I suppose this will be great for those going for a smoky eye look. This looks great on its own or with eyeshadow.
I have bought this product several times and continue using.

Goes on smoothly and this color is good for me,
Teddy is the holy grail!
S Seton from USA
I've been wearing Teddy since 2011. I've tried many eyeliners before and since but this one really is the best in color and texture. For reference, I have dark hair, dark eyes, and pale skin (NC 15 or 20) and it's absolutely perfect. I can see this eyeliner working on many skin tones.
Love, Love, Love This Liner...
Minnals from St Cloud Florida
Great liner... true to color. Long lasting! Goes on smooth... I also like to put shadow on top of the liner which really sets it into place and stays perfect all day long!!
kiki from MN
This is so pretty with blue eyes.I Love Mac liners, i have issues with them rubbing off on my contacts, which is my fault cuz i apply on the waterline. Have yet to master that. The liner goes on smooth on waterline and the eyelid.
The best brown for brown eyes
JHERNANDEZ21 from BrandOn,FL
This is hands down my favorite color eyeliner. It brings out the brown in my eyes and goes great alone or with shadow. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is that it doesn't last as long as some of the other colors. It's still a must-have!
Best Brown/ Bronze Eyeliner EVER!!
Sonia from Kentucky
This is my go to brown eyeliner! It is so easy to build up the intensity of the brown shade or keep it neutral as is. It is very long lasting, doesn't fade and remains true to color. I highly recommend this eyeliner!
Kat from Ohio
I currently use this pencil but the color I have is coffee which is not longer offered. I tried Costa Riche because it looked like the darkest brown on your sample but maybe Teddy is darker. The pencil is great - I had to buy a new sharpener because the blade was shredding the pencil but now it is sharpening just fine - just that the color is too light for me.
Creamy, easy to apply
JBRO from California
I really like how creamy and easy to apply this liner is. It blends really well, and has a subtle shimmer that is very pretty.
DJ from Colorado
Love the color! Rich and warm. Stays on all day! Creates a great look if you want something other than black!!!

Teddy is a great alternative to always using black
Allergic Reaction to this one
Mimom2boys from Royal Oak, MI
I used this eyeliner and had red, swollen eyes the next morning. Tried it one more day and it was getting worse. Will be returning this MAC eyeliner.
I am very allergic
Lolo2182 from Memphis
MAC Costa Riche is a makeup artist staple. It's beautiful. I love looking at it on other people. Shoot, I love looking at it on myself. However, I am massively allergic to something in it. Every time I try and wear it, my eyelids puff, become red, itchy, and flaky...for DAYS after wearing it. I sharpen the pencil before each use, so it's not a bacteria issue. I've tried eliminating every other eye product to make sure it was the culprit. It is. I sure wish I knew what the ingredient was so I could look for something similar but lacking said ingredient.
Pretty decent but shear
Kait from Ohio
Kinda shear but when applying it just glides on
Elizabeth from Atlanta
Easily slides on and can do a few layers for added emphasis. Nice because it doesn't crease in my eyelids like some eyeliners.
Cheap piece of junk
BeautyOnSkis from Utah
I rarely buy MAC products due to price. On a recent visit, one of their sales associates created a look I really enjoyed, which triggered me to buy this pencil among other products. The color Teddy is beautiful and blends easily to help me create smoky eye looks (something I am not skilled at, but the wood used for this pencil is the lowest possible quality I've ever come across on any pencils. It shreds to pieces while I sharpen it ( no, my sharpener is not a problem as it works perfectly well with many other pencils I own). No matter how much I clean the pencil after sharpening it, there seems to always have micro pieces of wood left on it, that always get into my eyes. This is the most horrible pencil I've ever bought! There are also longer lasting products on the market, and this disappointment made me realize that Marc Jacobs' highliner is worth the extra $6.
Heidi from Utah
This looks great when you first put it on, but it won't last even a few hours. It runs down my eyes and looks terrible. I've reapplied it multiple times in a day even with primer and setting spray
makes my eyes itch can't wear

Based on how incredible Minted Eye Kohl is, I can't wait to try other shades in this pencil eyeliner. It's highly pigmented, glides on easily, is smudgeable if you like that look (I do), and it doesn't migrate. I've napped in it and woken up with it still in place. However, it's also easy to remove, which is hugely important because nobody wants to damage their delicate eye skin when removing makeup. These are two major criteria for me, and Minted Eye Kohl meets both: long wear AND easy-to-remove. I like that it is glimmery without having huge, dangerous chunks of glitter in it. Safely wearable in the waterline and just is SO FUN to wear! The one thing I can't comment on is whether it would be good for precision-lining, as that's not how I wear it.
