I'd love to purchase the Eye Kohl in Costa Riche, but am concerned it will move around, giving me serious raccoon eyes. While I do want to be able to blend and smudge it, I don't want it to look like a total mess throughout the day. What would you recommend, keeping in mind it's that Costa Riche hue I'm after?

- Official Answer By MACGreat question! Costa Riche is such a unique shade - it’s that rich, reddish-brown that really stands out and gives a softer alternative to black. Since Eye Kohl is designed to be more blendable, it can move a bit, but there are a few ways to help set it in place. After applying and smudging, try pressing a similar eyeshadow on top using a #219 pencil brush - this helps “set” the liner and reduce movement. For a softer look, Powder Kiss Eyeshadow in What Clout! works beautifully, or if you want to enhance that warm, reddish tone, Devoted to Chili is perfect. If you love the tone of Costa Riche but want something with more long wear, the Color Excess Gel Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner in Nudge Nudge, Ink Ink is a great option - it gives a similar vibe with more staying power. This stuff really goes the distance. i put it on at 8 AA and when i go to bed at 11 PM it's still on. You don't have to go over the area again and again to get it...

The consistency and glides on easily but this product is not for me. I have watery eyes and the liner stay about few minutes on my eyes and then starts transferring all over. It just doesn't stick to the skin. I have tried smolder and Teddy. Both colors have same issues. It just transfer like crazy ...

Doesn't hold a candle to the Technakohl eyeliner, that was the best eyeliner on the market for the water line. Wish they'd bring that back - it was iconic!!!! The color range with these too aren't the best - need a better dark brown or again, the technakohl line that had a good range of colors and did the job!

I'm a huge fan of Mac Cosmetics' liners, and I'm definitely digging this Teddy eye liner shade! It's a super cute shimmery brown, which is perfect for my skin tone and love of shimmer! It goes on nice and creamy, not like you'd expect a pencil to apply at all. Seriously, their liners are perfection! I highly recommend checking this one out!

Went to the MAC store and specifically asked for the black eyeliner with pink exterior pencil I've purchased multiple times before. The sales associate told me it was discontinued (she even saw me like I was crazy and told me that MAC only do different colors for special releases) and recommended a different eyeliner instead, assuring me it would perform similarly. After using it once, the product smudges badly and does not perform as described. After 5 minutes I looked like a raccoon. I later checked online and confirmed that the eyeliner I wanted is still available, so the information I was given in-store was incorrect.
