Will my skin go through a purge state before seeing results?

- Official Answer By ExuvianceTypically when using products that contain active ingredients, your skin will draw bacteria to the surface resulting in a "breakout". however, Purifying gel Cleanser contains PHA's and glycolic acid, focusing on lifting away makeup and surface impurities without drying. This cleanser also helps improve skin texture and leaves skin feeling clean, pristine and purified. Since this isn't a targeted treatment, there should be a noticeable "purge state". I used this product until it was almost out and I've got to say, for the price margin, I was not impressed. My skin stayed relatively the same (acne prone, hyperpigmentation) and I found it a bit drying. It is supposed to be natural but I didnt like the smell. I found the gel texture to be some what...

best cleanser I've tried
I usually have normal to.oily skin prone to breakouts and I have enlarged pores from not taking the right care of them for years. this cleanser is so good for clearing, preventing breakouts, non gritty exfoliation does the trick to minimize pores and even skin. it's a must have for me!
Very drying to skin
I have combination/oily skin. It has a clean cucumber scent however, it really dries my akin and left it feeling less than totally clean and made my akin have a rough texture
Highly Recommend!!
I have combination skin, and a nice associate at Ulta recommended this product to me. I have very confused skin, and all products I have used in the past strip my skin and make it flaky. Since I have been using this continuously for four months, my skin texture has improved so much and cleared tremendously.
Did not work and was drying
I was using the Exuviance's face wash for oily skin, which I liked, but switched to this. I have acne-prone dry skin and wanted something less drying. This made my face breakout in small red bumps/pimples and they've only gotten worse. My skin is drier too! It does however feel cleansing to use and gets off any makeup. This could work for other people but it didn't for me!
Best cleanser I have ever used
I love this cleanser! This stuff works like nobodys business! My skin texture and tone has improved tremendously. I will be repurchasing when i run out.
