Most Helpful Positive Review wow! whenever they put the brush on the whats new area, i ordered it and it just came today! i was waiting for elf to come up with good contouring brush like nars because they use synthetic bristles. this one is so soft to be synthetic though and i was like hmm i hope this is not real hair but i don't think it is. if anyone from E.L.F team sees my comment can you please answer if it is synthetic? like i said i just received my order and i cannot wait to use the brush!
Most Helpful Critical Review Nice quality but not ideal for all-over contouring I've been trying to find a really good all purpose contouring brush for cheeks, nose, and jawline.
I had seen reviews on YouTube and blogs that the Ultimate Kabuki Brush was a little too wide for chiseling contour on the face so when the Contouring Brush was released I was hoping it would be a touch more narrow. However, its too narrow. It's hard to blend out and soften your contour with this brush. The dimensions of the brush head itself are 1/2" Deep and 2 1/2" Wide. Not bad along the sides of the nose but terrible for the cheeks and jawline. If you have a very small face and features then you just might love this but for my average face and features this brush is very ineffective. It IS very soft and seems better quality than some of their other brushes. Some of the e.l.f. brushes can be a little scruffy and scratchy but these new white tipped bristles are incredibly soft; they seem to be a combo between the sparser stippling bristles and their denser bristles so you have a really nice in-between density that works great for a number of different purposes (I also have the Ultimate Blending Brush with these same type of bristles and density).
As far as contouring goes I've had the best result with e.l.f.'s Angled Blush Brush; it fits perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks and along my jawline. It is a touch too big for along the sides of my nose but I can make it work by just lightly stippling my contour color where I want it. The Angled Blush Brush also blends and softens nicely. It's a much better all in one brush for contouring.

I just used this contour brush for the first time this morning and WOW! I would classify myself as somewhat of a beginner when it comes to contouring and this brush made it so easy. The angle and straight line on this brush made it super easy to apply and get my powder contour exactly where I wanted it especially on the sides of my nose. I then went in and blended it with my ELF foundation brush. I would highly recommend this brush especially if you are new to the contour game!

Overall its a great contouring brush! Picks up a good amount of powder and applies very nice. Great price too! If you're looking for a pocket-friendly brush, this is definitely a good one.

I bought 2 of these, one for contour and one for masking, and i absolutely love them. Nice and dense but still soft. Cleans very easily, and has held up nicely after 3 years of use! Definitely recommend.

Works every single pennies 5

I am completely satisfied with this brush, it can be used in two ways, either liquid or powder to contour, whatever your preference, it does its job if you are looking for something fast that also passes your hand with the contour and you do not know what to do this is the solution ... if you prefer the sponge for faster it is fine but for those who are experts this would be a luxury so to speak for a brush collection; but if you are looking for a professional contour effect this is ...
Did the job! 4

First contour brush but I liked it! Applied really easily. I did go back over the spots I added the contour to blend them with another brush, but this one applied the makeup evenly and did the job nicely.
Not what I needed 1

An Ulta staffer suggested brush when I asked fir an inexpensive option to the IT cosmetic foundation brush. This just isn't a brush that should be used to apply foundation, it's a contouring brush which I should have looked more closely at.

Really love this brush for powder contouring! I just tap it into my bronzer three times, drag it along my cheekbone, then blend it out. Love!

IV had this brush for over a year now and it's held up great. it's one of the softest brushes i own. I use it to blend my contour under my cheek bones and the shape works perfectly for keeping it from spreading the contour to high or low.
definitively I would buy it again and again. 5

The brush is great if you don't wash it 3

I love elf, but I'd never tried their brushes. So far, they're all great, except for this one. It worked perfectly up until I washed it, and now there's soap stuck in it that I cannot get out. I've ran water through it for 20 minutes and still soap's stuck in it. I haven't had this problem with any other brushes so far, just this one.
Not bad 4

For the price- it's a win! It did shed a little at first, nothing major. Washed up pretty well too & has not broke. I've been using daily for over two weeks.
